Autofilling and Desktop Browser Extensions

Hi all, I just wanted to share my experience in the hope a) somebody else is having the same issue and b) that somebody might be able to provide an answer to how to fix this. I'm using Vivaldi as my browser (although this happened in Chrome too as you'd expect) and when I update a password within a website, I get the popup from Enpass asking me if I want to save the update to an existing or new record. Great - I choose the relevant one, and away we go. What I did notice though is that this is only updating my record around 50% of the time. I'm having to update, and then go and check in Enpass to make sure it has updated. Sometimes it does, others I have to …

I call up the website ( 3 variants tried - ) click on the Login field ( Comptes ) and there is no Enpass icon in the status bar, as it happens when logging in to Amazon. On my Linux-PC Enpass with Chrome/Opera works well. Joachim

This happens on both a Mac/Safari as well as on Windows7/Chrome/Internet Explorer, so to me, this seems system-independent. Using the Safari extension (v. 6.0.6), passwords that were autofilled are wrong. On the other hand, when I copy and paste the password from the very same enpass entry, the password is accepted by the website visited. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there maybe an encoding issue going on for special characters?

With Safari extension v. 6.0.6 the autosave mechanism does not work reliably. Despite enpass not having any entry for certain login pages, it does neither automatically save the login data, nor does it prompt to do so.

I've assumed that the Vivaldi extension is the same extension as the chrome extension since chrome extensions are supposed to work in Vivaldi. If I'm wrong just correct me and read no further.. The Vivaldi extension really doesn't work well. There are too often sites where I try to auto fill but the short command doesn't work and if I right-click and try to fill out from the menu, the page simply reloads after filling out the form instead of submitting. The same extension in chrome does not have this behaviour at all so it's definitely browser specific. If I use Chrome, Firefox or even Safari, I don't get these issues, only in Vivaldi. Dear Team, On credit card payment sites, I only receive autofill option of cards which are separately saved as 'Cards' in Enpass. If I save my cards as 'Linked Cards' section of 'Bank Accounts', then they don't show up in autofill options. Please add this autofill feature as well. Thank you.

In iOS, I can “connect” app passwords with Enpass - it feels like I “program” that little greyish password popup: when needing to enter a password for an app, I do not tap on the center password entry, but on the black key symbol on the right hand side . I've installed Enpass for Linux, installed the Chrome extension (for the Chromium-based Brave browser), and set Ctrl-/ to point to /opt/enpass/Enpass showassistant When I go to any login page, when I press Ctrl-/, it brings up the "generic" Enpass widget, the one that appears without having already done a search for the website I'm on--as if I hadn't given Brave permission to access Enpass. (By the way, when I hover over the Enpass extension button in the browser toolbar, the toolbar says "Enpass Password Manager Has access to this site". So lack of access isn't the problem.) Have latest version of Enpass but when I go to Safari the extension does not show and does not provide for me to install the extension. How can I reinstall Enpass since instructions say the extension gets installed automatically?

It would be nice if there were a way of using the assistant to autofill (or at least slightly auto) in desktop applications. Currently the only thing the assistant can do is open a browser, or show the desktop app slightly smaller, which isn't very useful when the browser extension already has a keyboard shortcut. As the assistant can be navigated with the keyboard fairly well, it would be useful to be able to copy attributes quickly. eg doing `ctrl + c` would copy the password of the selected element, `ctrl + b` copy the username, and `ctrl + t` copy the TOTP item (Yes, these are the same shortcuts as KeePass uses (KeePassXC, anyway). See the attached screenshot. The main website is the one with "www", but the login page is the one with "secure". With Enpass 5, this setup worked fine because it checked all fields with the type "URL", which is ignored by Enpass 6. Even if I manually choose the Backblaze entry in the autofill dialog, it just opens the website in a new tab. Can you please fix this?

I just downloaded the latest versions of Enpass Mac and iOS apps. On Mac app & Chrome extension, it doesn't show the matched items on the popup. It just lists the frequently used ones. I double checked the website on the login item, and also enabled and re-disabled "Match URL hostname" feature, but it didn't help. What is supposed to be shown on the main extension popup? Match items first, and then frequently used (or recent ones regarding the sorting setting) or something else? Edit: I imported my items from 1Password. Hello there, I´ve noticed a problem with the safari extension. I work with Mojave 10.14.4 (MacBook Pro 2012) and Enpass-Version 6.0.5 When I enable the enpass-extension for/in Safari, i can not call google search links after a while. When I try to klick on the url-links, nothing happens. When I then want to close safari, it crashes: the apple beachball appears. When I disable the extension, everything works fine. I´ve still cleared the cache / cookies. With chrome and the chrome extension on my Mac everything works fine.

Enpass 6.0.4 won't allow me to enter a system-wide hotkey in the General settings. The box doesn't allow an entry. This was true in the 5.x version I had installed previously. I can add the hotkey in the Firefox browser extension, which works fine. But if I invoke an application that runs independently of the browser, I cannot use a hotkey to call up a password.

I'm not sure this is correct but there are sometimes in-page-popups that are positioned by z-index in the css. So we click "login" and something like a popup, except it's not a separate page, it's more of an overlay. When trying to fill in forms/passwords on these types of situations, enpass tries to fill in something in the background but not on the actual "popup" if that makes sense. Is this possible to fix? I use synologys photo station for my pictures and this is one example where it does not work. I can right click in the username field and choose the password in enpass but nothing happens because enpass doesn't know where the form is I believe..

This is an example, I believe I've run into it once or twice before if I'm not mistaken. I have an URL https://vrv.co/ If I click the "Existing user, sign in", a login screen shows but if I try to fill it out, enpass opens the "change password" -dialog. There's no way to fill it out with the extension. I've tried three different browsers so it's not browser specific. 1. Shortcut key in browser only works sporadically, however global shortcut always works 2. Enpass most of the time does not ask to save logins, I have to manually add them most of the time. 3. When using password generator to press autofill, it never works. I have to manually copy the password and the login information in these cases never get saved so I have to manually add the login details in enpass. When needing to login in an iOS app, i choose « password », it opens Enpass, then I choose the correct record in Enpass. Expexted result : it should fill in the login and password. Current result : nothing is filled in. The login and password stay empty. Thanks for solving this.

I seem to get several of the problems that others have at some time experienced: - When clicking on the Enpass icon in Safari toolbar, very often (but not always) nothing happens, even if I click twice. Focus on first item in parent view In Enpass extension, when you open the modal, focus is on the search field. Most of the time, I need to use the first list item instead.
