Autofilling and Desktop Browser Extensions

Wife using Enpass on Surface Book with 27" external monitor connected through Surface Dock. When opening MS Edge, the Enpass Extension will pop up UNDER the browser window. And then she cannot find the dialog, so she thinks it isn't working. If she turns off Maximize, the browser window covers only about half the screen, and then the Enpass dialog appears "appropriately" next to the browser window. She can then double click the entry to sign in and then maximize the window again. It works but is a nuisance. Maybe you can find a solution in your schedule, or maybe there is a better work around. I was just using my computer normally, not even using the enpass extension, when my fan started spinning up. I opened up htop and saw that an enpass process that seemed to have something to do with firefox seemed to be maxing one of my CPU cores. The htop screenshot can be found here, but a transcript of the process name is "/opt/Enpass/bin/EnpassHelper/EnpassNMHost /home/redrield/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts/EnpassNMHost.json firefox-enpass@enpass.io". What is this process doing? It doesn't seem critical to the app, because it doesn't break anything when I SIGTERM it, but it seems like UB for something to just sit there and seemingly do nothing. Hi ! I use enpass since a long time now on windows. I always use Opera as my main web browser. Now I'm on a mac and I have setup enpass on Safari and Opera. Enpass Desktop app works fine and the extension for safari too. But on Opera the extension seems to doesn't connect with the soft... What can I do to help you to resolv this problem ?? Thanks

Suppose I want autofill to work for multiple hosts in the same domain. How should I configure that? Can I use some regular expression in the URL like "*.example.com" or should I add multiple "URL" fields for "host1.example.com" and "host2.example.com" and "host3.example.com"?

In several browsers (Chrome, Opera, Edge) the Enpass extension doesn't work anymore. Instead of the extension, a page will always open with an "Enpass Connection Error", although the application is open and the browser extension is enabled in the settings of Enpass. Removing and reinstalling the extension does not improve the behaviour. Only in Firefox everything works without problems. I'm using Enpass 5.6.6 on Windows 10.

Let us say, I am at a page ready to fill user/pass, then I press in EDGE the Enpass icon, as soon as I press it, it will switch to a different tab, randomly, sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't, but it is very annoying, because then you have to select back the tab you wanted to fill in the credentials with Enpass.

I use Enpass on multiple machines. For the most part it works fine, but I am having an issue on one machine. FireFox is my browser of choice. On one machine the extension will not connect--I get the "Enpass Connection Error" page. The Chrome extension on the same machine works fine. On all other machines where I am using FireFox and the Enpass extension the extension works fine. The only difference with this machine is that I log into it via Remote Desktop. Otherwise it is a very vanilla Windows 10 box. FF 57.0.2, Enpass 5.6.2 and Enpass Extension 5.5.0.2. Any ideas?

Hello, I am in the process of checking the Trial Version of Enpass on Android... an issue that I am running into, which I have seen mentioned before is that when I am at a login screen, the Enpass icon appears in the Notification bar, but when I drag down the Notification bar, the icon disappears. This happens in Chrome and Dolphin, and I've tested on Amazon.com and Facebook.com. The one thing I've noticed is that if I wait about 10 to 30 seconds (time varies), then drag down the Notification bar, the icon eventually stays. Enable Browser Extension Where does one go to enable browser extension on the win app 5.5.7??? How would it work on MS edge?

I can see Enpass in the Share Sheet within the iOS EDGE browser, but once I select the login from Enpass nothing happens on the web page, no fields will be filled, thanks

When I do the autofill using the EDGE extension in Windows 10 at the BestBuy.com instead of selecting the "Sign In" button on the login page it will select the "Facebook" button, the fields will be filled correctly but the final sign in click is at the wrong place.

I'm coming from LastPass. When the LastPass browser extension detects a login that is not present in the vault, it pops up a message suggesting to add this login to the database. Upon confirmation it creates a new entry with the url, the username and the password ready filled in, leaving the user only some minor edits as necessary. Possibly, LastPass can do this because it has a direct connection with the Vault at the LastPass server, but I think that the same can be established between the Enpass browser extension and the Enpass app running on the local system.

The Enpass browser extension communicates with Enpass that is installed on the system. Quite often, system administrators limit/restrict the installation of software on company PC's and laptops and under such a regime it may not be possible to install the main Enpass program. Installation of browser extensions however will generally be possible. Would it be possible to enhance the functionality of the browser extension to work without a local installation of Enpass and to connect autonomously with the Vault file on OneDrive, GDrive, DropBox, etc? This is a point where the LastPass browser extension has a major advantage over the Enpass combo installation.

Hello, I am using Enpass on Desktop, iOS and Android. I also use the Browser extensions in Firefox and Chrome. I also do use Alfred 3 for expanding text. However, the Enpass Browser plugin kills my ability to expand text. When I remove the plugin, everything works as expected. This is only since recently. Are other people experiencing this error as well? Using Windows Traditional 5.6.0 Firefox 57, latest extension (had the issue on Firefox 56 as well) Logging in to a microsoft account is a 2-step process. First fill in E-mail and submit, then fill password and submit. When I use Enpass autofill: It fills the e-mail correctly and submits Next page (password-page) I immediatly get an error "account or password incorrect, try again" I can use autofill again for the password and it logs me in without problems. Could enpass be submitting too much on the first step that causes the error? Other services that use 2-page logins don't seem to have…

So does enpass have auto fill or not? Best I can tell, auto fill either does not work or auto fill actually requires a couple of mouse clicks. I dropped LastPass for enpass but from what I can tell the advertised auto fill does not exist.

Sometimes, randomly the Enpass EDGE popup screen will get stuck on top and even pressing the mouse anywhere nothing will happen, only after a while 5-10 seconds, I will be able to press the mouse and the popup will disappear, any idea on root cause?

I installed the new Enpass browser extension for Microsoft Edge. I also installed the latest Enpass 32-bit desktop app and selected "Enable browser extensions" in settings. Unfortunately, I continue to get the Enpass Connection Error (see screenshots). I see this issue was addressed in earlier posts for Chrome and Firefox. Hopefully we can now resolve it for Edge.
