Cloud Sync

I have just started to sync my Documents folder with OneCloud. It always stalls with two files remaining open: enpasssettings.db and syncmeta.db. These files remain locked even when Enpass is not running on the desktop. I have to use TaskManager to shut Enpass down. Then the files sync OK. I remember something like this in 2018 when the same issue prevented an Enpass update. Please fix this issue - it is an irritation every time I use Enpass and I'm sure you don't want that. The app should not continue to run in Task Manager even after I have closed it on the desktop. Thanks

Dear Team! i used Enpass on iOS, stored the data not in cloud but locally on phone and Got a new iPhone. i installed the new iPhone from iCloud backup. enpass works and asks for master Passwort. i am 99,9% sure about the password but enpass does not accept. is it possible that it’s broken? Is the local data stored in the iCloud iPhone backup ? what shall I do ? thanks in advance waterloo

I've been using enpass now for a few years, windows, MacOS, Linux, and not sure how or when cause I don't use my mac too often but I have now have to sync files, "sync_default.walletx" and "vault.enpassdbsync" Unbuntu 18.0.4 is syncing enpass to "sync_default.walletx" and MacOS (Mohave) is syncing to "vault.enpassdbsync" Would someone know why, and is there a way to reliably merge them? Sorry a bit more information I should have included, this is all webdav via owncloud. MacOS is EP version 6.3.3, Ubuntu EP version 2.4.1, QT 5.9.5 Thanks

When I sync via Google Drive, I get a file `sync_default.walletx`. However, if I add an attachment, it is not visible in the `Enpass` directory. Wallet size stays the same. I have tried though, attachments are being synch'd to my Android app just fine. When I sync via Dropbox, the `App/Enpass` folder contains a wallet file and for each attachment a file. Why the difference between Google Drive and Dropbox? Where are the attachments sync'd using Google Drive? Thank you.

Sorry I know this is a silly question but I'm new to enpass, when I sync Win 10 desktop to icloud where in the icloud should I see the encrypted sync file uploaded ? The sync operation works ok and I have managed to sync my iphone to the cloud and so populate it with all the data but I don't know how it's working ? :-)

About a year ago I switched from LastPass to Enpass. I have two users on my laptop (one for work, one for personal). So, both of my users started out with the same state. I tried to sync them to the same cloud drive, but it just created two separate folders and kept their states different. To be honest, rather than solve the problem then and there, I got busy with work and let them go. So now I've added new accounts/passwords to each instance and they are different. Is there a way to sync and merge them where it will add new info from both and put them in the same state? Maybe some password changes would need to be resolved manually, which is fine. Couple Month ago i bought a License and imported all Data from Keepass. Because of missing feature i was using Keepass again. Now... giving Enpass one more try all my Data: - are Lost - i do not get recon as an excisting User anymore tbh, Usability is definitely different. I am done with that shit.... Never used a Password Manager like that before.. Worst Case ever.

I've been using enpass for awhile now, without issue. The last two days, though, I've been unable to sync to my iCloud - the synchronize just sits there with a busy icon. I can sync with my phone app just fine. Any idea?

We have new phones. We downloaded the Enpass app on them. We can't access the data we had entered into the app on our old phones. Can anyone offer insight on this? I don't remember if or where we might have indicated to back up data.

Hello, I've seen that sync iCloud don't work. Don't work on windows 10 and Mac OS 10.15.1 . I think it's an issue in Enpass 6.3.1.

Hello, I upgraded to 6.0 today and was really looking forward to the vault feature in the hope that one vault would be shared while the other would not. My setup consists of 3 windows devices and 2 android devices (each with their own PRO licence). I managed to generate the new vault but when I come to tell it to sync to the same google drive location I get an error telling me that this is not possible. In my opinion the name of the first vault was system generated while 2nd vault onward require a name. Can't this name be used to generate a unique file name? Thanks and Regards,

Hello All, Let me start that I am big fan of enpass against the countless password managers I used, I have an issue, I have one login info saved in vault and under that login info i have note which contains important data, for some reason the note got empty and I really need what's written on it, my only thought was since i sync it with gdrive and gdrive keep versions for last 30 days of files ususally is to get the copy of 24/october. thatsaid, the files are hidden there and I want to view them like normal file to get an old copy of file where my note is there. somehow enpass keep password history but not notes history :( Please hel…

I've had Enpass on my windows phone for quite a few years now. Works perfectly and backs up to OneDrive. I've since been forced to abandon my WP for an android phone. I understand that I'll need a new license for the android app, no problem. What I am unsure of is how to migrate the data. I looked in my OneDrive acct and found the Enpass folder containing one file, sync_default.walletx. So here's the question... if I tell my android app to sync to OneDrive, will the file I now have be compatible, or will it be over written by a new blank file (and therefore losing all my data)???

Love the new look, hate not having my sync. Not sure what's happening. I setup my sync and the app directs me to the dropbox login and when I give permission to access the sync folder, I get a sync error. "Something went wrong while syncing with Dropbox. Error code: 208035" Any ideas to move forward?

When backing up and restoring Enpass (local backup file on a stick), not all settings seem to be saved and restored. Especially the settings for the cloud sync imho is important - when installing Enpass on several computers and configuring it via a backup-file, I always have to enter the cloud settings manually each time. They are not included in the backup file. Is there a reason for this or could you please include this in the next update? Imho, when restoring an installation from a backup file, ALL non-computer/workstation-specific settings should be included.... Thanks for considering this!

Sorry but I'm done with your crappy software. I'm a developer myself and I know releasing a bug free software is impossible, but your update from 5 to 6 was just BS. You killed the sync functionality and the db conversion from 5 to 6 also wasn't bug free. OK bad thinks might happen... but all these problems were reported months ago and still there are no fixes. Even worse now sync is broken on all platforms! In my case (WebDAV) sync is broken because of a character conversion failure. So if minor bugs like these take you months to fix, how long would a security critical bug like a failure in your vault.db design take to fix? So I'm done with Enpa…

I own Enpass for Mac and iOS and sync with iCloud. Mac and iPhone versions are syncing ok but my iPad gets stuck while trying to sync. I deleted the app and reinstall but it still can't connect with iCloud. What should I do?

Hi together, actually I have the following problem: After connecting with the webdav folder (the permissions are correct) I get the error message "sync error 908417" The problem arises both when I try it in the local network, as well as a dynIP (port forwarding in the router is active - otherwise I would not have been able to connect) Anyone can help?

Hello, The sync using iCloud doesn't work for now two weeks... Running Enpass desktop v5.6.9 on my MBP with macOS 10.13.05, and Enpass v5.5.8 on my iOS devices (with iOS 11.4), I didn't have iCloud sync pb for years untill end of june... I already tried, with no success, to disconnect/reconnect iCloud on both, and also remove iCloud backup... Now when I try to disconnect/reconnect iCloud on macOS, I have "Error code: -116". Dear all, upon trying to sync with my existing OneDrive backup from the desktop application 6.0.4 (268), I receive the error message "Something went wrong while syncing to OneDrive. Error code: 504035". Until c. 2 days ago, this was not the case. I already tried resetting the sync and resetting the sync including deletion of the backup on OneDrive. Does not make a difference, though, I still get the same error message. How can I set up the sync again? Thank you and regards, Frank

Is it possible to either a) setup sync to work while on a LAN only or b) do manual syncs across a LAN or with USB drives?
