I was trying to import my data from Bitwarden, it shows count of entries to import but after doing all the steps, there is nothing which gets imported. I tried CSV and JSON both the format but same issue.

I purchased Enpass for MacOS and Android. I can create and copy templates to expand as custom templates, but find no way to use them to import from previous Password Managers.

On import, only the system templates can be used.

On MacOS, it seems the 1pif file simply isn't exporting properly. The result is a file with no contents. So, I switched to Windows. On the Windows side, the 1pif file exports properly with contents but Enpass won't import it.

Please advise if there is any way through this. My password manager must absolutely be rock solid and reliable. Thanks!

Well, I downloaded the CSV file from LastPass / export to my desktop.  I open Enpass and continue to import but get the error message "Nothing to Import".

I would greatly appreciate any help.

My export from 1Password to non-encrypted 1pif file went well. Import went well.

However I had spent lots of time adding custom icons to my 900+ entires. Now I see (ugly) generic icons. 

How can I get my custom icons to import???

I also looked at adding a custom icon in Enpass and it is not as simple as 1P for macOS APPLICATIONS. In 1P I can drag the icon of a macOS Application onto the icon placeholder, drop and the icon would update. Seems I have to go thru a complicated method with Enpass. The default icon as ugly and are not Application specific icons. 

Help me get my custom icons. I'm including 2 small sample screen shots of icons shown in 1P and Enpass.

Samsung Pass seem to hold it's users in a firm grasp without the possibility to export to CSV.

I could only see an option to export to a "datafile" resulting in a .SPASS-file (passprotected and encrypted).

Anyone knows if export/import is possible, somehow?

Just moved from MYKI and noticed that a couple of my 2FA secrets that are quite long (approx 60 chars) show as invalid and don't spit out a TOTP code despite showing fine in MYKI.

Is this by design, or is there a way around it?

    I hope this post finds you all well. I'm new to this, so please be kind if I missed it or it plainly obvious...lol 

With that said,  how do you import passwords if you don't have a PC and only have access to EnPass android app? If there's an EnPass website to login for using the EnPass web version with my Android Phone, please let me know where. I've looked and I can't find it anywhere or an alternative way to do it. 

Everything directs me to importing Passwords with an extension on a PC and I don't have a computer, only a phone.

What do I do when Enpass says something is not there but it is?

The 1Password App on iPhone iOS 14.5 still works and the vault is in the iCloud. How can I export the data from there through my iPhone and import into Enpass?

I am moving from 1Password 4.6.2

From the File menu, I choose Export, choose 1PIF format, then put it in a new directory on its own and name it "data.1pif"

It confirms it has exported all 465 of my passwords.

In Enpass, I choose File, Import, 1Password, then point it at the directory that I put data.1pif in.

It confirms it has imported 249 passwords.

So it has failed to import around half of my passwords and hasn't given any errors or reasons why this would be so. Looking at the Enpass vault, I can indeed identify many passwords that are simply missing.

This looks like it has already been reported at 

 but the response there only deals with the "no title" issue (which isn't the problem for me), it does not address the issue of a large number of passwords not being imported at all.

I would like to switch from 1Password to Enpass but moving data from 1Password to Enpass is a real challenge. I was able to find a workaround for an issue I had with the process and would like to share it here.

Hopefully this entry also serves as a bug report of some sort.

The issue: After exporting data from 1Password as 1pif and importing to Enpass, I noticed that some entries were missing.

The workaround:

I looked into the 1pif file and noticed an entry that was longer than the others and mainly consisted of form fields of the web application that I would be logging in.

Removing that line from the 1pif file seems to resolve the issue with the missing entries after the import (however I still need to verify that really all entries have been transfered).

The root cause (as far as I can tell): Originally I wanted to login to a web application that had a lot of form fields implemented ("under the hood" - not really visible for me as a user) - not just "username" and "password". Using the 1Password feature to create a new password and autofill it, possibly resulted in an entry with a lot of fields in the 1Password database. The entry I have identified consists of ca. 68000 characters on one line and thousands of web form fields.

The Enpass bugs:

1. it looks like that during the import process, Enpass *seems* to import the data (the numbers being reported during the import are correct) but actually *does not* import entries with too many form-field entries, meaning the reporting functionality of the import part is broken. I consider this to be a major bug that needs to be fixed because it leads to data loss!
2. it looks like the import functionality does not handle 1Password entries that have too many field entries/characters. Again this is something that I would consider a major bug because it will lead data loss during an import process.

As the numbers reported during the import suggest that everything has gone well, this bugs are particularly dangerous!

@Enpass-Team: can you please provide feedback if you can reproduce the issue and if yes, estimate when a fixed version of Enpass might be provided?

My previous software (Kuff Password Safe) enables me to extract my database in XML or CSV file. Is it possible to upload one or the other into enpass ? I have so many records, I just cannot retype everything !

• Manually cleaned up the data in a spreadsheet program, resaved as CSV. Tried to import but "nothing to import"
• Aligned all columns, threw out all data I didn't need, resaved. Tried again but "nothing to import"
• Simplified to just 4 entries, each only having a Aligned all columns, threw out all data I didn't need, resaved. Tried again but "nothing to import"
• Created a brand new file with only 2 entries. Tried again but "nothing to import"
• Simplified to just 1 entry. Tried again but "nothing to import"

You are losing business because of your overly simple error messages. For a product of this kind, import is the most essential first user experience. Most users are far less technically inclined than myself and many wouldn't bother giving you feedback at all.
