Feature requests

Tell us here what features you would like to see in upcoming releases of Enpass.

  1. Started by Diego,

Hi, new Enpass user here - I tried searching for this feature and couldn't find in the settings or already request on this forum. I have been using the free version of Lastpass for over a decade and one neat feature about the browser extension icon is to show how many credentials there are for that website. To give you an example, below is a screenshot of Lastpass icon showing 8 as there are 8 saved credentials for that website. It would be very helpful to find out if you need to sign up or not. Many thanks

I would like to ask for a magnifier with a place signature for each letter of the password. Usually needed to log in to some banks or financial institutions.

Hello, Please add a setting to adjust the background color of the icon for each entry separately. Some icons with a transparent background look a little bad on a gray background. And I would like to make a white background. [Updated] Now I noticed that the gray background is only if the icon is loaded from the Enpass server. With the manual addition of png icons, everything is fine. No gray background. But on the android version there is always a gray background.

I just upgraded to the Pro version because I wanted the biometrics way to authenticate to Enpass. The thing I found is that when at the auth window, you need to pick biometrics as the auth method by clicking on the smiley to the right side of the window. I have a PC with fingerprint sensor, so it might be different for users that have a camera for Windows Hallo, but having to click on the smiley and then put you finger on the sensor, seems like an extra step that should not be needed. I would like to submit a request for Enpass to either have a function where the default auth mechanism can be chosen (Password / biometrics) or have Enpass be able to auto-detect whic…

It would be great if the existing label were automatically selected when editing. To override it immediately.

Hey there, It would be awesome, if I could open a Enpass Account for a organisation and buy/pay licenses in "bulk" (something like I buy a package of 5 licenses and then invite some team members). This would make it much more convenient to use Enpass in a company. Thanks.

Any chance of implementing a feature that allows searching within secure notes? I believe global search does search within notes, but as it doesn't highlight where within the note the search term was found, it's pretty useless with large notes...

  12. I have Samsung Tab S6 with keyboard cover and I can't login to Enpass using only physical keyboard. Enpass does not react to Enter key and there is no arrow button on the form. Therefore, I need to invoke on-screen keyboard and press "OK" button every time. Please add support for Enter key on login screen.

Hello, I would really like to have some controls of auto backup on macOS Enpass app (I have version 6.3.3). I have (accidentally) discovered, that it stores up to 60 backups created daily - which seems kind of excessive. Principally, auto backup is convenient thing and I'd like to use it. But 60 backups are too many... With Time Machine, which already makes every 2 hours snapshot of my whole system I really do not need too old backups. I can always extract them from Time Machine. I would prefer to have some control over frequency and number of backups kept - so I can customize this. Also, I question default choices made - 60 backups kept? Daily backups made…

  15. Hello, i was using enpass to store password manually for quite a while and for that i do really like it. To store my website logins or apps password i used Samsung pass. But recently i tried enpass autofill feature, it is good but there is one feature missing which really frustrates me and that there is no option for adding new website logins at the time of login/signup in browser instead i have to switch to enpass app add the logins(username, password, website) and come back to the browser and then use enpass autofill feature and if that was not enough once again i have to search for that website name and select it, it will not show any matchs for the website. It de…

Hi, Migration to Enpass for ease of use cross-platform usability seems very good. MAJOR pain point I've run into is the in-ability to bulk edit the Password Expire Date. This I find especially important, when importing entries from another Password Manager into Enpass and the Expire Date has to be re-configured between old Password Manager and Enpass. + the amount of imported entries easily can quickly number in the hundreds. (Case in point, my current Password Manager contains closer to 1K entries, rather than 100 entries)

  18. I usually use a keyboard short to open Enpass Assistant. With time it becomes natural and handy. In rare cases I also do that because I want to modify or duplicate an item on the list (which is not supported from the Assistant). So in the Assistant I find the item I want to modify, and press the Command + E key combination to open the main window. And for me it seems natural that the item that I already found in the Assistant should be selected in the main window that opens, but it isn't. Would you consider a change here? Thanks!

  19. Hi, what I really miss is a simple little inputbox next to the (big) slider to set the password lenght. On big screens, the adjustment with the slider is okay, but on small screens I get frustrated when I have to set a specific lenght and don't hit the number after some tries ;-) Should be no big concern since it is just UI related and not some sort of security problem Does no one here miss this little but helpful improvement? :o)

  20. Good idea for future new feature, if will be exist in Enpass App for adding 2FA not one option but two options. Add 2FA - First option, scan QR Code Add 2FA - Or second add 2FA into Enpass via Security Code (some apps or websites not create QR Code but provide only Security Code) EDIT: Sorry guys :-D Now I looked, and Enpass is ready for this .. oh my eyes I maybe need glasses

  21. Hi It would be really helpful if we can able create logins in browsers/app rather opening Enpass and manually creating new logins. I think 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane has this feature. And it would be a lot of convenient.

The introduction of Quick Unlock by TouchID is a huge step forward for the usability of Enpass. However, in my opinion the promised perfect balance between convenience and security is still unmet due to the lack of a critical part: TouchID timeout. TouchID is not 100% secure as demonstrated by security researchers who were e. g. able to replicate working fingerprints for TouchID. The logical consequence would be to disable TouchID in Enpass completely. However, this would not only eliminate the convenience benefit but also increase the risk of shoulder surfing. The solution is an adjustable timeout deciding whether TouchID will unlock Enpass or if the master pas…

  25. that "X" button on this toolbar looks too much like a "close" button. if you've got several items selected, and decide not to do anything, you might be tempted to click "X" to dismiss this hovering panel. turns out that's the "unfollow topic" button, which i didn't see in the tooltip until it was too late. also there's no "undo". please change this icon; or at least add a confirmation dialog, or better yet, an undo.
