  1. The shortcut tutorial doesn't work for me... not sure what is going on but I have 2 chrome extensions installed - one is Enpass Password Manager (v. 6.0.0.73) and seems to work, but no opportunity to make a shortcut. The other is Enpass extension (requires desktop app) - (v. 6.4.0) which allows to make a keyboard shortcut but doesn't work (can't connect to the service). My main app is v. 6.5.0.390 and has no keyboard support at all. I have an updated Google Slate tablet that I use with its keyboard a lot.

@Pratyush SharmaWhen can we expect an update to the extension - keyboard support - fingerprint unlocking (like my Android phone) or other Windows Hello-like unlocking features? I constantly have to put my PIN in even when I tell the main app to stay unlocked for 30 minutes and leave it "open". Whenever it comes into focus, I have to put my PIN in. And not even being able to use the enter key to enter the PIN - I have to touch the screen to "unlock"!

  2. Talk about dramatic foreshadowing!  :D

Is this the post that led to today's announcement of the new subscription model? I'm already an Enpass Pro user/purchaser, so I'm glad that we'll be grandfathered in to keep using Enpass (and I hope that includes any upgrades?  - that wasn't specified in the announcement). It looks like current users who want to avoid a subscription model have a window to become Pro users for a one-time payment until the subscription model is implemented.  Again, the post is unclear as to when that will occur, but the post states:

If you’re a trial user and haven’t purchased Enpass as yet, it is a good time to go for it. All purchases done before the transition to subscription will be eligible for activation of Enpass Pro subscription.

Time to get it and keep it if you want it...

Thanks to the Enpass team for honouring those of us who have supported and purchased this fine password manager...  Keep up the great work!

  3. Thanks for the reply Ivarson, but as previously stated, I don't have admin rights... I can't install the Visual C++ update you linked to...

I do note, however, that Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable is installed on my work laptop if that assists with a solution to my problem...

  4. First, thank you for the first Beta of Portable Enpass!  Thanks for following up...

Unfortunately, I can't run the Windows v6 portable Enpass on my work laptop (Windows 10 Professional x64) - I have two errors pop up when I start the portable app:

"The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."  The same error pops up right after for VCRUNTIME140.dll as well.

I have other portable apps that use the same dll's and can function on my work laptop.  For example Beeftext and Postbox (running from a folder) work fine (both MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll found in their app folders).  So I copied those dll's into the main and "Program Files" folders.  The DLL error went away, but then this Application Error popped up:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

I noticed that the old v5 of Portable Enpass had a lot of dll files in the program folder and that the newest one only has UWPComponents.dll by default.

Any suggestions how to fix?  I obviously cannot register/install these DLLs in Windows as I'm not an administrator...

    Hey guys,

We do have plans to release the beta version of Enpass portable by the end of this week.

    Cheers!

    That's great news!

I'm signed up for Beta releases already (I think) - but if you can advise when/how to get the portable version later this week when it comes out, I'd appreciate it...

  6. Further to earl.grey's comment and my post of December 29, I know this is a priority for Enpass as Anshu stated last week, but perhaps a quick fix while the beta is being developed is to have a way for the current portable app to at least read (not sync with) an exported Enpass 6 wallet file... at least then, we could load a version of our latest wallet file into our portable app (even if we have to manually copy/paste logins into our browser)...

    • Thanks 1
  7. Ditto here... the portable version (and happy to take a beta version) would be greatly appreciated...

Or some suggested work arounds in the meantime (i.e. is there a way to export current v 6 wallet into format that current portable version could take in - I don't mind manually loading the wallet until the sync can work again).

  8. I am already on record giving my kudos to the Android Autofill feature.

One feature I think would add to it is to have a copy/paste username/password function right from the Notification when the autofill fails to complete for certain apps/websites.  That way, if the autofill can't be used with a certain app (and there are enough that I am asking for this feature to be considered), then a user wouldn't have to open, search, copy and paste from the Enpass app, but would be able to use the pull down notification from Enpass to have the option to copy/paste username/password from that dialog...

  9. Just wanted to voice my appreciation for the new autofill feature in Android (by way of notification).  It certainly makes it easier than bringing up the keyboard each time (for those of us who have a preferred keyboard app).  Any thoughts on expanding to be a pop-up feature at some point (or the option for such, much like you now have the option between keyboard and notification autofill)?

  10. Hi Hemant... Loving the new Android autofill features from 5.20 and wondering how the portable Windows version is coming along.  It's been a couple of months and just thought I'd bump this (even though it is a pinned topic :)) to see if there is any update on the beta status...

  11. Thanks JT for the suggestion and Hemant for the update. If you need any Beta testers, let me know:)...

JT, I did bring the installed folder of Enpass to my work laptop today, but as I have no access to the Program Files folder (need admin rights for that), it won't work otherwise...

  12. I'm loving Enpass and would appreciate a portable version of the desktop manager that can be used without administrative privileges (for those of us who want to use in an environment without such privileges - i.e. at work or at a library).  I don't think that's counter-intuitive to the basis for EPM - i.e. to store passwords locally - as I believe those could be stored on a USB and/or synced/pulled with/from one's cloud storage syncing solution of choice.

    Please consider;)
