Well not 2FA, that's just things like the TOTP. The breach monitor is something we as users can access for free, but for software, they might have to pay for each check. Still, they promised the new features and they still offer a lifetime subscription.

The breach monitor already exist in older releases but has been removed for us now. It's a feature called haveibeenpwned.com but they are calling it a breach monitor now and ask for more money.

Hi can you please advise me how to hide that red banner with the SECURITY RISK!!! message?  It hurts my eyes and I would like to see an option in settings to toggle this off.  Enpass support please make this an option that can be toggled off because many customers like me find it very annoying.

Do not troll the loyal customer base like me that has been with your company in early stages of growth for $12 lifetime.  You should hold customers like me sacred for our loyalty and for enrolling in the early days.

I feel that this red banner with obnoxious error is a way of Enpass trolling customers that choose not to upgrade to the subscription based model.  If this is not taken away by January 15th in a future update i will have no choice but to write a bad review on Google Play

You still think they are going to change this?

    Hey @dissatisfied customer & @farfraaway & @neolidas

Last year, while launching a new subscription model, we ensured that Pro users do not have to pay again for subscriptions and rather enabled them to use their Pro license across all their devices. So, you never have to pay for Pro features you have already purchased, and we will continue to add more Pro-features without any additional cost. One of those Pro-features would be sync over WiFi.

However, with premium features, we are providing Breach Monitoring and 2FA supported features, which requires us to put in recurrent effort in the workforce and financial resources to keep the service updated. We would have liked to offer these services free of cost to Pro users, but unfortunately, we cannot cover the cost from one-time pro licenses.

    Thanks for understanding.

    You removed the audit feature.

As a programmer I can say that a smaller file size does not mean it's better per se. You can store data in many ways and some make it more readable, some make it smaller and some make it that data is more recoverable.

    In case 1, it's a basic storage.

In case 2, there's minimal size, but it's less readable.

In case 3, if data gets corrupted, you'll know since <password>x)_~€¿ will not be valid, while Password:x)_~€¿ is.

Storage isn't that expensive anymore, so a 1mb vault vs a 5mb one doesn't say much. Hell, it might even be stored the same way, but the encryption is different which may make it bigger.

As a programmer you would fixed that damn Enpass bug. The vault is even growing when you delete stuff.

I'm a bit confused why vault size is so important for you? I never had any issues with it or even noticed anything about it.

Why syncing a 900KB vault file between multiple computers. In keepass I could create the same file with 90KB. Enpass vault file grows forever even when you delete stuff it grows.

    Hi @TREMOR

Which platform have you switched to?

https://keepassxc.org/ for Mac, Windows and Linux. Best keepass you can get.

I'm using keepassdx on my android phone (still a little bit in beta but good enough for me).

Sync between them not really a problem. Just let it sync by other programs like Dropbox or OneDrive. I'm using my Synology NAS with Synology Drive app.

Your vault file will be much smaller (Enpass is a mess).

  7. Still like this forum because this company is funny. You guys should also switch to an other better password manager. For me it was the best move I should have done earlier. Now I know enpass is a crappy password manager even if they give it away for free I don't want it anymore.

  8. I am also completely switched with only benefits. I even have better security now!

    • A better keyfile.
    • A database file that is much smaller than that of enpass (as in 10x smaller).
    • I can't accidentally delete a password with my phone because it opens my vault as read-only by default unless I indicate I want to edit (also solves sync problems or corrupt db file).
    • A better design in my opinion.
    • A better chrome plugin that detects even login fields that enpass couldn't detect.
    • I don't have to pay for it (although I did donate on both applications).

Thx to https://keepassxc.org/ and https://www.keepassdx.com/ . I say bye to enpass. Good luck with your premium users. I wouldn't recommend enpass anymore.

That's frustration talking, not fact. You were perfectly happy to use Enpass a few months ago with exactly the same features as you have today, before this Premium issue. Don't get me wrong, I understand your frustrations but it doesn't mean Enpass suddenly became a bad product. It still offers good features and has a place in the market.

So your comments are a bit unfair I think.

This doesn't change of course that I'm also a bit miffed, but as long as nothing significant changes are down to pro users, I'm not as malcontent as some others.

    Well it's not only this.

    1. The poor support that can only copy / paste sentences here.
    2. Things that are still not fixed after months and they only say we are working on it.
    3. And now I'm trying to export my database and it's a complete mess. I can't do anything with it. I am now manually transferring 300+ passwords.

I don't mind spending money on good products but this is just @!$!%&! mean. I even accidentally bought an enpass premium subscription for a year now (I wish I didn't). And now find out that enpass is not that great.

Yes I'm a little bit frustrated.

Can enpass team clarify the business model here and going forward? The pro and premium are all confusing to me. The way most companies handle this is, they automatically upgrade existing lifetime users to their new model and only asks the new users to pay for whatever is the new cost set by them.

I am guessing here is that the pro model doesn't exist any more and new users are getting premium features now onwards? If so will there be some platinum feature(or some other name) going forward for which lifetime (pro or premium) users will have to pay again?

The state which we are at, I too will switch to another new password manager if this doesn't change. You should stick to whatever model you initially set otherwise what was even the point of buying, offcourse you can change the price going forward to whatever you want but lifetime users shouldn't have to deal with it.

Why waiting for an answer? They wil say 'we will not make a platinum version'. And after that they will make diamond features and they didn't lie. That's why you can't trust them anymore.

And really enpass is a mess. Have you tried exporting the enpass database and checking the csv file? Also my database file has been reduced from 900KB to 30KB by only importing it into keepass. Enpass isn't as good as I first thought.

  11. This is just bad business management. I won't be surprised if enpass is bankrupt in a few years.

I'm testing KeepassXC for desktop and KeepassDX for phone now. It looks like I also solved the sync problems. Just need to test some more.

I have to do a manual export because the export from enpass to keepass is a complete mess. On the plus side, my DB file has been reduced from 900KB to 30KB, something enpass still can't do after numerous requests. So maybe I will switch earlier than next year

  12. All our current Pro users will have access to the full version of the app on all platforms without paying anything extra. They will continue to receive future app updates and new Pro features that we’ll release over time – for lifetime, on all supported platforms.

And now calling it Premium features? You have removed the password audit feature, adjusted something and now you are asking to get a premium license... I already have the PRO license what's next the gold or diamond license?

I paid for now again ( I already regret taking premium license for a year) but next year I will switch. Plenty of other password managers I can choose from with the same or even better features and community. There is not even a special price for pro users to switch to premium which is also wrong.

I hope enpass will change this all back otherwise this will be really bad advertising. I already changed my playstore enpass review. I know longer trust this company.
