    Hi @Ivarson

I have forwarded this concern to our dedicated testing team. As soon as they update me on this matter, I'll be sure to notify you. Your patience in the meantime is appreciated.

I don't know why this happened, but I noticed that only Chrome got the legacy Autofill.

I re-installed Chrome via Play Store and now keyboard-autofill work again.

  2. After toggling keyboard between gboard and SwiftKey, I lost the autofill integration with any of the keyboards. Instead I get the old pop-up (in some cases).

    Why?

Autofill and availability settings are turned on.

    Hi @stanwu & @Stef,

Welcome to the Enpass Community Forums.

The IP address that you are seeing is pinging to our servers only regarding licensing and alerts. For more information, please refer to this FAQ.

    I have to ask a follow-up question..

If the license is checked every 24th hour, what's gonna happen if I'm offline for several days, or my internet is limited? Will my license be revoked after some days? Also ,as a lifetime license holder, is the license still checked every 24 hour?

    Hi @Ivarson,

I appreciate your response and I have shared your feedback with the concerned team for further investigation. In the meantime, your patience is highly appreciated here.

After some further testing, the issue occurs when using Microsoft Swiftkey as keyboard. When using the default Gboard, the keyboard pops up.

  5. Since Enpass 6.8 and upwards (currently on 6.8.1), Enpass is way more sluggish than 6.7.

It feels like debug-mode is on or something.

This is observed in most actions, starting up Enpass, switching category, adding items, switching views/tabs.

I ran it in a VM at first thinking it was purely poor virtualization performance, but it's the same experience on a physical laptop with Windows 11.

    Whats up with that?

    Hi Abhishek,

Thanks for the reply. Glad that the latter two issues have been sorted. I look forward to receiving the latest update.

I cannot agree with you about "lock on leaving". Having this set means that if you reply to a WhatsApp message, say, whilst leaving the Enpass window open, you are logged out of Enpass. Even logging on to an online site (like this one) from Enpass results in being logged out when autofill is initiated. I find it unworkable, especially with a long complicated master password. Am I missing something?

    Best regards

    Brian

I think you do, if you set "Lock on leave", you want to authenticate each time Enpass goes to foreground, that's the whole point.

Majority of Android users use biometrics, which makes unlocking as fast as unlocking the screen.

If you don't have or want to use biometrics, you can change you password making sure to use a keyfile and a shorter password

  7. Actually it's only partially fixed.

The shortcuts has been refined and now triggers views in the main app, however the Search-shortcut only highlights the search-bar and shows the previous searches, it doesn't "focus" the search-bar, which would bring the keyboard up.

Hence, it's still needed to tap "Search" again in order to start typing. That way there's no point having a shortcut.

So let's call the .Focus() on the searchbar when search-shortcut is pressed.

I am seeing it on my Samsung Android tablet (along with all my Windows machines), but my Samsung Note 20 Ultra and my iPhone are just fine.  It's odd, in that regard.. You'd think it would be either "all broken" or "all working" in that regard.

Do you have a link where Enpass has acknowledged the issue?  I don't understand how something so broken gets released.

    @Ivarson,

Please share the following details so that I can get this issue investigated by our concerned team.

    1. On which device (along with the OS version) are you using Enpass?
    2. Which Enpass version are you using? Is is a store version or website version?

    6.7.1 and 6.8.x

    Android 11, iOS, Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04...

Come on, it happens on ALL devices i've encountered, and both in the latest 6.7-versions as well as in the current 6.8-versions..

    Hello @Ivarson

We understand where you are coming from and your concern. Over the last few years, we have received various requests from our users for a Business version of Enpass(to improve the overall security posture of their business), its availability, and our upcoming plans regarding the same. As a result of these requests and suggestions/feedbacks from our B2C customers, working in various organizations, Enpass was able to develop a business version.

Hence, for a lot of our existing B2C users, the Business version was long overdue. Therefore, we saw it befitting to announce to our user community that the Enpass Business is out and they can spread the word among their organization. Furthermore, we only plan to send out “Enpass-related news or security-related news” through our app.

However, having said that, the last thing we want our users to feel is that Enpass is being intrusive. Although we do plan to reach out to users through email, we felt that we would be able to cater a larger audience via our app notifications. Enpass apologizes for the inconvenience once again and will do its best to ensure that its customers have the best experience a password manager can offer, including reviewing our policies on using notifications inside the app.

    thank you.

if you do plan to continue push "Enpass-related news" straight into the app, please at least introduce another option in Enpass where users can opt out of such overhad. IMHO such content shouldn't exist in the precious memory-space of Enpass at all, use _any_ and _all_ other channels.

thanks for hearing me out and keep up the good work

    @Ivarson,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Only a single vault can be synchronized over a single cloud account that contains the database of the single vault. If you try to sync another vault over the same cloud account, then you have to merge the databases of the previous vault and the new vault, thus the merge option you see.

Your cloud always contains a copy of same encrypted vault database as on your device. A copy of your encrypted data is downloaded on your device where is gets decrypted (locally) for real sync operation to merge changes. Afterwards, it gets encrypted again and uploaded back to the cloud.

Thank you, but that's not relevant here. There's no attempt of reusing a "cloud-account" for multiple vaults, same cloud-provider, yes, but never the same accounts.

    Today I even got a conflict on a vault syncing to a local folder. Something is triggering Enpass into seemingly unneccesary conflicts (that always seem to resolv just fine after pressing "merge" manually;

    Hi @Vinod Kumar,

Thank you very much for your reply.  I have to say, this sounds really excellent!

I read through the linked thread as well; do I understand correctly that, so long as Enpass is locked (for example at the PIN prompt), there is very little risk of data leakage through memory - aside perhaps from UI libraries that are extremely difficult to control anyway?

Locking Enpass with a PIN active doesn't close the database AFAIK. If you lock it without a PIN being set, then it's closed properly.

In Windows when Full-time TPM support is active, I believe the database is locked properly due to TPM handling the key rather than Enpass itself.

    I could be wrong though.

  13. I just got a fat, full-screen ad in Enpass about your new Enterprise-plan.

How can you justify to push a intrusive ad like that?

I understand that you badly want to reach out to existing users, but seriously.. You have Twitter, Facebook, your blog, the forum (with the not-so-used Announcement-section).

You also have the emails of all your customers. Have you somewhere promised not to use the emails for offerings and therefor decided to push out this directly to users running and decrypted instances of Enpass?

There is an option in Settings - Advanced regarding Notifications.

It reads that it's used only for security concerns and respects.. blabla.

Are you going to push future "info" like that?

Is that option what allowed that broadcast? Or is there another backdoor specially built in 6.8 for today's "Security notification"?

In the PC version I have some items in the "licenses" category but when I access my mobile (Android 10) the category appears empty.
However those items appear in the "All Items" tab but as if they had no category
I tried to change the category of the items on the mobile, but when I do that they disappear on the PC...
I don't know if there is a solution for this...
    Thanks

This happened for me too, but in the Linux and Android app in with a custom category.

  15. find it quite pointless to post another "bump" here, but anyway.

I'm actually looking for a Password Manager for my company, even though I've been using Enpass back and forth for several years, it's been ruled out due to various reasons, one of them due to lack of cenralized management.

With Enpass Business, this seem to be addressed.

But even so, the Password Manager I'm looking for has to have proper support for a secure element such as Yubikey to be relevant.

You really need to provide more serious ways to secure the vault joining the Enterprise-segment. ( and not only for Business-customers alone ).

Not asking for ETA since that fails short, but only transparency. Are you working on it code-wise or not?

If so, Is it expected to be available for all customers, only Enterprise, only Premium (not Pro) etc.

In fact, I'd rather see an "arrow" on the headers (Categories, Tags, Other) to collapse (compress) each section.

It should start in expanded mode by default so user can compress one or more sections.

The state of the sections should also be remembered while switching tabs (All, Browse, Audit, Settings).

    Please consider

  17. I noticed some duplicated if I list items by a certain Tag

The items are not duplicated or counted elsewhere, it's a rendering bug.
