  1. I would like to suggest removing the need to hit the Enter key when entering in a PIN, and possibly also Password, to unlock Enpass. Hitting the enter key here is a completely redundant step when entering a password into an application, especially the PIN option after having already unlocked Enpass with Password at least once since launching it.
  2. I am using Enpass on Windows, Mac and iOS. I use Google Drive to sync the enpass database. This worked fine for a long time, but recently I saw in the settings on Windows that the last sync was performed on October 24, 2016 and the last try was on November 7, 2016. When I click snyc now, the button turns inactive but nothing seems to happen. Even the last try date does not update. Similarly, on iOS, the last sync was on January 29, 2017. Here I can tap sync now and the last try date will update, but the snyc is not performed. By the way, I never received any error message on any system, that is why I only discovered this by chance. I checked with a new entry that I created on Windows and it is not displayed in iOS or the Mac version. How can I get the sync working again without losing any data? None of the local databases contains all logins since I created or changed some on all devices.
  3. Hey there! So I seem to be having an issue with Enpass on Windows 7 Professional, and so does my coworker (who I recently converted from the Church of Lastpass). Every now and then, after having used Enpass to log in to websites using the browser extension, it seems to hang. I only seem to notice because I will attempt to log in again using the browser extension, and the browser extension does not respond. Is there anything that can be done to troubleshoot this? If you need particular logs or clarification, feel free to let me know! Sincerely, Derik
  4. Hi folks! We have just rolled out a new Enpass Beta update for Traditional Windows and Linux. The complete changelog of this beta is here: WHAT'S NEW Option to disable updates & analytics: Enpass connects to internet for cloud syncing, checking for updates and collecting anonymous analytics. From now onwards, you can control how you want to behave Enpass for update checking and sending Analytics from Advanced preferences. We recommend you to keep the update checking option enabled as this is the only way we can notify you regarding some important security news or update but participating in analytics program is your own choice. IMPROVEMENTS Improved attachments- We have improved the image compression while attaching images and have also added a zoom button to the Attachments Image viewer. FIXES CSV/DSV Import- A very rare but critical bug that may lead to undefined behavior for any user action on any specific field of item imported using generic CSV/DSV importer. Fixed. Another issue while importing from generic CSV/DSV was encountered when the data contains special German letters. Fixed. (Windows only) There was an issue with File chooser dialog which when invoked over Settings window, and then user let the Enpass auto locks. Unlocking will the let the Enpass user interface in unstable state. Fixed and checked. Fixed an issue where EnpassHelper gets crashed while unlocking browser extension with quick unlock PIN. An issue where enabling sync with WebDAV/ownCloud was stuck at connecting has been fixed. Autosave dialog of Enpass helper used to behaving aberrantly by fluctuating once from localized to English language. Fixed. SafeInCloud import notes bug fixed. Other minor fixes. 6. Hi All, We have just rolled out a second Beta version of Enpass 5.4.0 for Traditional Windows. This Beta comes with following fixes: Syncing with WebDAV: Enpass will now show a sync warning message to those users who have configured their WebDAV/ownCloud server using a self-signed certificate, and they have to disconnect and set up sync again. Optimized CPU usage: An issue where some users reported that enabling sync with WebDAV was consuming high CPU comparatively has been fixed. Minor UI improvements: Fixed a UI issue where adding/moving items (more than 99) from one folder to another, doesn't show the complete count. Sync error 120: Fixed an issue of Error -120 in cloud sync, where Enpass shows the sync error when the system comes from sleep. Fixed an error 403 in Enpass extension while communicating with new Opera 42: Recently Opera has changed its signing certificate in ver 42 due to which Enpass fails to verify the code signature and throws error 403. Fixed an issue where WinSparkle “Skip this version” was not working. Download link All existing Enpass Beta v5.4.0 users can download the update from the app itself via Enpass--> Help--> Check for updates. New Beta users can get it from here
  7. I use ENPASS for ANDROID and WINDOWS sync with DROPBOX When I type the master password the app just asks the password again. So I lost access to the passwords I do need help
  8. Hi there, I am using EnpassPortable 5.3.0 on a Windows 7 64 Bit PC. Every time i try to search for something, the whole application freezes for about 10-20 seconds. This can get quite annoying as you can imagine ;-) The system is powerful enough (Intel Core i5 3,1 GHz, 8 GB RAM) and all other apps are running fine. Any solutions/fixes? Should i provide more info? Best regards Jan
  9. Hi all, We have just rolled out Enpass Beta version 5.4.0 for Traditional Windows. It comes with some cool and most demanding feature like Quick PIN unlock, Auto backups and much more. Check out the complete changelog here: What's New Quick PIN support: Gone are the days when you had to enter the master password at every unlock of App. With this release, you can now set an alphanumeric PIN to quickly unlock Enpass if the App is already running in background, otherwise master password will be required. Autobackups: Now Enpass can take backup of your data automatically locally in your device. By default, this feature would be enabled, which you can turn off afterwards. CSV/DSV Import: If you’re having your passwords and login details in CSV or any other delimiter separated file, you can now import them in Enpass using the all new custom CSV/DSV data importer. To use it in efficient way, you need to have a look at this help video. zxcvbn will show strength of your passwords: We have empowered the password strength indicator with Dropbox zxcvbn to check you from choosing weak passwords. Password strength analysis has become more efficient now. Selective field sharing: Sharing has gone better with an option to choose the fields to be shared rather than whole item. So now you can share your bank details with anyone by removing login and other sensitive details. Cool, huh! Subset of password: It lets you see certain characters in password specified by position, for example "1st, 3rd, next-to-last, last" by just mentioning their position in specified format. Better way to organize items: You can now create sub-folders by right clicking on parent folder in sidebar with an additional feature to move the subfolders among parent folders by ‘drag n drop’. We have also improved the drag ’n’ drop behavior for moving items between categories and folders where now you also get the option of copying them (instead of moving only) by pressing and holding the ‘option’ key. Beta builds: Added an option to enable notifications for getting the new Beta builds, when available. Interested Enpassians can enable it from Enpass settings and they will be notified with Release notes and download link. A nice way to stay updated about “Whats new” in coming release. Improvements Setting up shortcut for autofilling: We have changed the way you used to setup the shortcut key for autofilling in browsers. Now instead of defining it in main Enpass App, you have to configure it in your browser extensions independently. Fixes Launching of wrong URL from Helper: There was an issue with the items having multiple URLs, where, when a user tried to launch the second URL from Helper window (as one displayed on clicking extension icon), the first URL was always launched. Fixed now. Download link Before installing beta, please make sure that the existing Enpass app is completely closed (even from System tray or Menu bar). Also the beta update will overwrite existing Enpass app. Enpass Beta (.exe) v5.4.0 Known Issues In the Enpass update pop-up, "skip this version" button is not working in win sparkle. In Windows 7, Drag and Drop doesn't show the number of items to be moved/copied from category/folder to another.
  10. My enpass app has stopped working on my windows mobile phone. The app tries to load and crashes.
  11. I have a suggestion for a function that would be great to add. (for information: I use standart windows version, not uwp, and on mobile I have android version) Now I have in my operation system "Windows 10 Anniversary" as second method how login into my system via fingerprint reader (via my android phone with fingerprint reader OnePlus 3). It would be great if you would add the ability to log into the application Enpass also via finger print reader. Still keep the first method as Master Password, but add it into Enpass application a second option as login via fingerprint reader. I mean that this feature in future Welcomed by more and more people. When now have more and more phones quality fingerprint reader.
  12. Hi Enpass Team & Community. I just recently switched from SafeInCloud to Enpass. Im Happy but i miss one feature. The possibility to quick Unlock the Enpass Vault on MacOS or Windows PC without typing in all the time the Master Password. in Mobile Apps i can use Fingerprint or an PIN Code. On Desktop Apps i can just use the Master Password. This is annoying when using a long secure Master Password. Of course i know that its less secure to use a PIN Code as an alternative log in method, but i think it should be at least optional possible. So every enpass user can decide for themself if the want to use it. Here are my suggestions: 1)When activating the optional Quick Unlock Feature on Windows + Mac prompt a message that its less secure than using the Master Password 2)Quick Unlock is just possible after initially typing in the Master Password. From this point on if the Vault gets locked due to inactivity you can use the Quick Unlock Method to unlock your vault (no time limitation). If you shutdown Enpass or Restart your computer, the Master Password is necessary again to login initially to your Enpass Vault 3) 4 or 6 or 8 digit PIN Code is necessary. Alternatively: First or Last 4 characters of you Master Password. Give your user the Possibility to choose how they want to unlock their vault. If quick unlock is ok for Mobile Apps, please make them available for desktop apps aswell. Thank you
  13. It would be nice to import all existing WLAN profiles (including the password, if the security type has one) Windows has currently saved. Or maybe also have a choice on which profiles you want to import.
  14. Hi all, We have just rolled out Enpass Beta v5.2.2 for all desktop platforms: Mac, Linux and Traditional Windows. It comes with some of the most demanding features like Microsoft Edge and Vivaldi Browser Extension, TOTP support for other categories etc. Along with this you will notice many other improvements and fixes. The complete changelog of Enpass Beta v5.2.2 is here: What's New: Added Enpass extension support for Microsoft Edge (Beta) and Vivaldi browser. If you are already using Vivaldi browser with browser verification disabled, please enable the verification. Added import from Intel True key password manager. Improvements: We have updated the code signing certificate for Microsoft Edge Browser and fixed the issue that was preventing Enpass to connect with Edge extension and displaying error code 403. Fixed the sync issue where Enpass was displaying an error code on sync page, when the system woke up from sleep mode. Diceware in Password generator - The improved password generator now uses Diceware algorithm to generate beautiful, more pronounceable yet strong passwords with more options to include digits and symbols. TOTP support for all categories except Secure Notes. Auto-fill support for all items - Along with logins, now you can auto-fill all types of items having a valid URL, username and password on login pages. Added support to manually define scaling factor for high DPI monitors. (Windows only) Added password length indicator on Edit page. Improvements in importing data from Roboform and Keepass. Improved Tray icon handler: Single click on tray icon will open Extension windows, while double click will open the main Enpass app. Fixes: Optimized memory usage of Enpass, where some users reported that it was consuming high memory comparatively. Fixed an issue where 'update' button in browser extension was getting disabled, while changing a password on website. Fixed following issues in syncing after the system woke up from sleep mode (Mac and Windows only) Progress wheel keep rotating while sync operation. Sometimes the username of cloud service was not displayed. Fixed following issues in syncing after the system woke up from sleep mode (Linux only) High CPU usage while syncing. 15. I have a Surface Pro 4 and after updating from 5.2.0 to the 5.2.2 beta to try out the Edge Extension, the Windows Desktop Enpass app data is all compress and overlapping. When I turned on the High-DPI setting and set it to 200% I saw absolutely no change. Changing the DPI setting to other values also resulted in absolutely no change.
  16. Hi Guys, This post is all about the critical issue in Enpass 5.2.0 on Traditional Windows desktop which is prohibiting the users in either using Enpass Extension or even in installing it. All this because we had to change the code signature of Enpass desktop App for Traditional Windows (our mistake that it got revoked somehow ☹). Actually all this happened with just a slight miscommunication between us (the Enpass team), and the Comodo support team (which provide us the code signing for Windows executables). The day was 24th June, we requested Comodo team to replace our signing certificate with SHA-256 capable certificate. As usual, the request was executed by the Comodo web interface successfully and we were provided with a new certificate at that very moment. But the issue was, even after the execution of request, we were getting the same older certificate, which also got revoked by the July 9th. As we didn't get any validation from the Comodo team and the certificate got revoked, we discussed the issue with them, and soon we were provided with a new certificate. Phew.. Well guys, things are all set now. The issue has been fixed with the updated code-signatures, so now you can download and install the update from here without any worry. One more thing mates, while installing this beta update, you might get encountered with Windows SmartScreen filter showing a warning message "Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk." The reason behind this is that newly signed Enpass has a low SmartScreen score as the downloads have just begun. Well, you don't need to worry as the warning message would stop displaying once the number of downloads get increased. Sorry again for trouble. Very truly yours, Vikram Dabas

  18. Has anyone else experienced Enpass closing out after saving a new password or other item. I just bought this app and installed it on both my laptop and phone and setup OneDrive sync. It was all working very well. I added about 5 items without issue. Now, when I add an item and click the save icon from my laptop it closes the application. When I reopen the application the change is there, so I did not lose data. I am not sure what is causing it.
  19. Hello, I installed the Enpass extension in Chrome and activated it in Enpass, but I keep getting an Connection error. I tried to install the extension in other browsers and disabling the signature verification but nothing changed. Reinstalling Enpass and/or Chrome didn't helped at all. I analyzed it with TCPView and there is indeed an open connection on port 10391. In Chrome's Dev Tools it seems that the extension cannot access Enpass because of the error: WebSocket connection to 'ws://localhost:10391/' failed: Invalid frame header I installed Enpass with Chrome on a VM and it worked like a charm, so I would be very happy to see this error solved for me. Greetings
  20. It would be great to set a service app to the startup of windows/session (just the icon on the taskbar), so we dont have to open he desktop app manually to use the browser extensions.
  21. In the desktop version of the new UWP app, when editing an entry, you have to have the mouse on top of the invisible column holding all the fields to be able to scroll (with mouse wheel). Outside that column the fields won't scroll; at first I thought the app was broken or something. I don't know if scrolling with the finger in a touch enabled device would trigger the same bug.
