oaruhyo
I'm trying out enpass 6.1.1 (451) on Windows 10. I have check for updates disabled, but when I start the app, it tries to connect to 54.68.132.103. Why is enpass trying to phone home? An offline password manager should never be connecting to the internet unless I want to check for updates (which I have disabled). oaruhyo
Does no one reply to questions in the support forums? Why would anyone trust an offline password manager that connects to enpass servers?
iearmand
They do have a post on this: https://www.enpass.io/support/kb/security/if-enpass-is-an-offline-password-manager-then-why-does-it-connects-to-internet-and-shows-network-activity/ Edited September 4, 2019 by iearmand

Since those two things they mention are disabled, then it shouldn't be connecting to the internet - but it is. Are they checking for updates even though the setting is disabled? Are they collecting analytics? It would be nice if they answered.
