The browser extension make only the connection to Enpass (Desktop version). You need to have running the desktop version in the background. Here a tip for you: Open Enpass desktop setting and check that Enpass should add a icon into the system tray. Also check that Enpass should autostart. Now you don't get the error, because Enpass is running always until you quit it in the system tray icon. With these options you can close the Enpass window by clicking on the "X" and it will still run in the background.
dascaio Posted May 14, 2016 Author Report Posted May 14, 2016 I don' find the option to add an icon in the system tray and the option to autostart is grayed. Pls. see the copy screen in annex.
edenhaus Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Hi @dascaio, are you on the last version? The current one is 5.2.0. Please check under Help->About Sorry I can't speak Frensh and but below you can see my settings with the options mark in red. I think you are not on the last version, so please upgrade.
dascaio Posted May 15, 2016 Author Report Posted May 15, 2016 Good morning, Thanks for the answer My installed version is 5.2.0, language French. I did an other test. I desinstalled Enpass from my computer and I resinstalled again from your site. The problem remains, the parameters options I get are not the same as yours. It's annoying. I intend to claim my money back because I bought the Ios version. BR, Jo
edenhaus Posted May 15, 2016 Report Posted May 15, 2016 Very strange... The only idea, what I have now is that you have download Enpass from the Windows Store. Please download Enpass for Windows Desktop directly from the Enpass webseite. (https://www.enpass.io/downloads/) Otherwise please contact the support as I'm not working for Enpass.
Yogesh Kumar Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 Hi @dascaio Option to Autorun on System Startup gets active with the Minimize App to System Tray, so make sure you have enabled that too. Please let me know if the problem persists.
thusband Posted August 30, 2016 Report Posted August 30, 2016 So I have the desktop app installed on my Win 7 PC and the Chrome extension installed in my browser. Do I have to open the desktop app before I can get the browser extension to show my passwords? If I close the desktop app and try to use the browser extension it says it can't connect. Do I have to leave the desktop app open?
