settings screen hangs does not open

settings screen hangs does not open

Attempting to open settings or sync (want to setup cloud sync) on Free Desktop version. The screen never loads.  Hangs after clicking settings from drop down menu.  App "freezes" and eventually times out to the Master password lock screen.  Tried reinstalling.  Tried disabling anti-virus.  Same issue persists.

Windows 10 PC.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are going through, skipping this thread was just an oversight. 

If you don't mind, can you please drop us an email at support@enpass.io mentioning a link to this discussion with these details so that we can take a closer look into this issue.

  • What is the version of Enpass, Window build and Make/model of Windows device?
  • How many total items are there in Enpass?
  • Have you imported data from any other software?
  • Have you changed the default location of Enpass database on your PC?

For troubleshooting, please start Enpass with a fresh new database, for which you need to rename your current database by following the steps below.

  1. Quit Enpass (If running).
  2. Go to user Document Folder --> Select Enpass Folder --> Rename it as Enpass_backup.
  3. Now open Enpass, it will prompt you a welcome screen. Create any sample database and now try to open Enpass setting windows.

You can restore your older database by renaming the Enpass_backup to Enpass.
