Noah Williams Posted June 17, 2020 Report Posted June 17, 2020 Hi team, I recently got one of the new 8GB/RAM Raspberry Pi models and found it to be a quite nice minimal desktop experience. Unfortunately, I couldn't get very far with the tasks I was hoping to, as Enpass doesn't seem to support ARM on Linux yet. I'd love to see an ARM build published in the APT/YUM repos - unless I'm thoroughly mistaken about your codebase, it may be a just as simple as recompiling your current Linux build for ARM. I think over the next few years as we start to see more ARM machines come onto market you'll find more and more developer customers requesting this feature. Some operational suggestions for a smooth QuickStart: AWS offers ARM64 instances you can use for CI/CD. The new 8GB/RAM Raspberry Pi is now available for less than $100. They are suitable for "real work" if you prefer to do your dev work locally - I'm even building a Kubernetes cluster of them. All the best, Noah 8 1

Holger76 Posted August 3, 2020 Report Posted August 3, 2020 Hello Just wanting to tell you that I'm in the same situation as Noah and also want Enpass on the Raspberry Pi. Cheers Holger 1
Pratyush Sharma Posted August 4, 2020 Report Posted August 4, 2020 Hi @Holger76, Thanks for using Enpass and writing to us. Currently, Enpass is not supported on Raspberry and we don't have any immediate plans for this either. However, I've forwarded it to the dev team for consideration.. Thanks! 1
MicWik65 Posted October 19, 2020 Report Posted October 19, 2020 Hi, Just wanted to inform that I also have some Rasberry Pi:s for media etc. It would be very good to have Enpass for these. I can also confirm that Raspberry Pi is getting more and more common these days. You can by it almost everywhere. Best regards 1
Garima Singh Posted October 20, 2020 Report Posted October 20, 2020 Hey @MicWik65 Welcome to the forum! Thanks for letting us know that you would like to see this. Significant user demand is a big factor that determines our priorities for new features. We really appreciate you for exploring the app and giving time in finding this valuable suggestion. 1
Evert Posted October 22, 2020 Report Posted October 22, 2020 Also chiming in. Would really appreciate a build that works on Raspberry Pi. Is this a hard thing to port? 2
Garima Singh Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 Hey @Evert Welcome to the forum! I have noted your request to support Raspberry Pi. Thanks! 1
Jasonmccullar Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 I would also like to chime in and say that I would like to have Enpass work on ARM processors. I have a samsung chromebook that recently came out of the closet, now that is can run debian linux pretty well, but it is an ARM processor. Thanks, Jason M. 1
Kleinhirn Posted November 3, 2020 Report Posted November 3, 2020 Hi, I have some Rasberry Pi's in use and other ARM devices. It would be very good to have Enpass for these, too. Thanks 2

I have noted your request to support Raspberry Pi. Thanks! A little update on this: Ubuntu is now supporting the Raspberry Pi platform as a full-fledged PC vendor, and distributing stable builds of Ubuntu Desktop for the Pi: https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/how-to-install-ubuntu-desktop-on-raspberry-pi-4#1-overview I really think this would be worth supporting, especially as we are likely to see more inexpensive ARM Linux machines in the near future. @Garima Singh Thank you and the rest of the Enpass team - I appreciate that you've been monitoring this thread and factoring it into your product's roadmap! 1

Garima Singh Posted November 19, 2020 Report Posted November 19, 2020 Hey @LpImperson Welcome to the forum! We have noted the request to see the roadmap. However, the same is currently not available. Thanks!
mjeshurun Posted December 8, 2020 Report Posted December 8, 2020 I also would find a Raspberry Pi version of Enpass very useful. +1 vote for this feature. Thank you Enpass team for all your good work. 1

Bobby Reynolds Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Another happy Enpass user here :) Enpass is awesome, and it would be even more awesome if I could use it on my Raspberry Pi 400! 1

ARM-compiled vs x86-compiled code is kinda like if an English speaker and a Japanese speaker are trying to communicate and neither speaks a word of the other's language. Very little similarity if any in the "languages" and definitely not enough for one to interpret the other.

SeanW Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 (edited) Enpass user here that would really like this feature, please pass on to devs. Thanks!N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-arm64/Packages' as repository 'https://apt.enpass.io stable InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'arm64' Edited February 28, 2021 by SeanW
axarix Posted April 3, 2021 Report Posted April 3, 2021 Help!! I am a great friend of Enpass; but also of Raspberry pi! Many users have followed my advice for switching to Enpass. Please hurry up to develop a suitable version for the 64 bit RaspberryPi. Raspberry Pi is becoming more and more useful desktop PC. 1
Morgan88 Posted November 8, 2021 Report Posted November 8, 2021 HI enpass team I'm currently working on switching from windows to Ubuntu on a Raspberry pi 400 as my general desktop computer. I just now discovered the same problem as the topic of this thread. I have used enpass for a "long" time after leaving 1pass. Today it's impossible for me to use any computer or android device without a password manager. My decision to move to Raspberry pi is final so if I can't get enpass on that platform soon I have to find another password manager. Do you have an plans to support Ubuntu on Raspberry pi? Best Regards Morgan Johansson
steveF Posted November 11, 2021 Report Posted November 11, 2021 Just to add my voice, a version of Enpass for Linux (all flavors) on the Raspberry Pi would be most appreciated. I have just moved ALL of my daily computing to my new RPi4B-4GB desktop. It is quick and reliable and costs ~$100 after a monitor, mouse and keyboard have been acquired. I am running Ubuntu-Mate 20.04 and am very pleased. An 8GB unit would be indistinguishable in performance from ordinary, higher cost x86 desktop computers. Best regards, Steve 1
GertVK Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 In preparation to getting a Linux smart phone (PinePhone Pro) in the near future, I also would love Enpass to be available for ARM please !!! Ngā mihi, Gert van Kruiningen
regis003 Posted December 4, 2021 Report Posted December 4, 2021 Hi. Like many people, I own a raspberry PI and I would like to be able to use the application enpass. Can you tell me if you are going to release a version for this one ? Best regards
