the resulting error appears then i run

apt update

N: Ignoring file 'enpass-linux.key' in directory '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/' as it has an invalid filename extension

Hi @mschuppx1

The Enpass team are going to want to know what version of Ubuntu you are running and if you have made any mods as well as the current version of Enpass you have installed.

Have you tried removing Enpass from your sources list and then adding it back?

My entry /etc/apt/sources.list.d/enpass.list reads:

 deb https://apt.enpass.io/ stable main #Enpass

I am currently running Xubuntu 20.04.

Thank you all for the help!

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04.0 LTS

my sources.list.d entry is

deb https://apt.enpass.io/ stable main

I was able to successfully install after I removed the 2 lines from the sources directory and ran the install for root.  I'm puzzled as to how they got there in for first place but that's too much thought for right now.

All is good!  Thanks
