Why waiting for an answer? They wil say 'we will not make a platinum version'. And after that they will make diamond features and they didn't lie. That's why you can't trust them anymore.

well I have tried to get them to state something that they cant resily run away here:

I have a pro licences for my MacBook, iPhone and android devices and I can't believe this isn't enough to get all the features. Really enpass after tons of recommendations resulting in people buying more pro licences, I will not be reccomending this platform anymore, and will be moving away asap if this is not fixed with some sort of plan.

I have found myki, which is free for home users... You can pay them roughly $12 to upgrade the app for additional benefits such as custom tags, multiple profiles, custom form fields.

It also only syncs your passwords to other devices via encrypted proxy. Your devices are your cloud.

I like enpass, but myki has some benefits over enpass, for instance I can share passwords with people without letting them see the password. So it only works on the login page for instance.

It also works more like last pass in regards to how it auto gives you passwords/accounts to the site right on the username/password bars.

I do like some minor things about enpass better, but ultimately myki is better. And when I can pay $12 one time for an application that is just as good if not better than enpass... It just shows how much enpass has forgotten about us pro users.

Although I would say I agree with the person's comment above in regards to letting pro users upgrade to this new tier for a small cost around $10.

Hopefully enpass can resolve this.

Shall take a look just moved from Enpass today to Bitwarden £10 a year! but shall take a look at Myki too.

I used Enpass for 5 years. The switch from v5 to v6 was a pain but I loved the fact that "pro users wouldn't have to pay for future updates", so I kept using it and raccomending to friends.

But now the promise has not been kept. I accept bugs and missing features, but not this behavior.

I have now moved my personal stuff into a new vault created on the 1Password account that my company offers to its employees. If one day I change job, I'll consider paying a 1Password subscription or switching to another password manager.

I'm sorry Enpass, but I think that with this "Premium" move (and in a year maybe there will be "Platinum", then "Gold") you will lose more users than you will gain.

Bye.

I am also completely switched with only benefits. I even have better security now!

  • A better keyfile.
  • A database file that is much smaller than that of enpass (as in 10x smaller).
  • I can't accidentally delete a password with my phone because it opens my vault as read-only by default unless I indicate I want to edit (also solves sync problems or corrupt db file).
  • A better design in my opinion.
  • A better chrome plugin that detects even login fields that enpass couldn't detect.
  • I don't have to pay for it (although I did donate on both applications).

Thx to https://keepassxc.org/ and https://www.keepassdx.com/ . I say bye to enpass. Good luck with your premium users. I wouldn't recommend enpass anymore.

I've been using Enpass for many years now. I've seen their software improve while their decision making worsens.

First Enpass started as a lifetime purchase only with updates and no more payments.

Then they moved those people into "PRO" status where people get lifetime use, are tracked with accounts.

Now they create additional tiers so that "PRO" which are  original users get stuck and don't receive the updates.

Today premium users can get lifetime too and eventually  they will fall behind too with the creation of a new tier. What will it be?

Let's assume in 2022 they publish "Enterprise Tier"  or whatever and PRO is even further down from the original promise etc.

I totally understand that Enpass needs to make money to continue developing but you took a wrong path. Enpass should have never promised lifetime updates to begin with. (Should have charged for major updates instead)

In any case, this will be messy and affect Enpass reputation. The best options for Enpass is to say they're sorry and either provide original users with the latest updates for free as they promised in the start or to say , scratch that, we lied, we need money as a bussiness or we can't continue, we won't give newer features for free sorry BUT here, we will move you to upper tier for a minimum fee because we appreciate you helping us get here. Basically giving a great discount to founders so that they can have a premium lifetime status.  Then Enpass can provide regular updates to all users as they normally do. Just don't lie anymore please. I know many want everything for free and I understand that's not how it works but your job is to make things clear and so far you haven't done it because your initial promise was impossible to fulfill to begin with. (It's like socialism, you start saying you give everything for free until you realize you need money to come from somewhere to continue)

One last thing. For the love of God please remove the red ad ASAP. It kind of seems like Enpass wants to trigger founders.

I agree with previous post! The RED banner is very annoying with my dark theme! And again and again password Audit messages, if I click it, I'll get the message to get an supscription.. I'm pro and not interested in every time the same question. And I'm a Lifetime Prouser, so I don't want to pay again!

If Enpass decides in the future, no updates for Pro Users, I go an other Password Manager... And with double feelings.  I really love this software from  the beginning!!

The people behind Enpass making promises but after a while they have other idea's and thats not good for thust.

"Vulnerability Alert
Enpass has detected breach among one of your saved websites."

It's a big red banner that you can't get rid of and if you click on it, they want you to pay nearly full subscription money for it after a year, the first year is still €7.49.

That's the main problem for me:

I don't mind them building new features which require continuous development and maintenance for a subscription (although I originally chose enpass specifically because it wasn't "live-service"-based, to not be reliant on anyone else's servers and they probably should have refrained from selling "pro-lifetime"-access in the first place). That's fine, if someone wants the breach monitoring, go ahead and sell it to them. I'm already aware that some of the sites in my vault have had breaches in the past (dropbox, ubisoft among others) and took appropriate actions at the time.

What I object to however, is the rollout and (partial) activation of the feature for every user. Performing a scan without being asked and then placing the result behind a paywall while plastering the app with red banners and icons to scare them into purchasing a premium-subscription is just sleazy. Like a guy screaming at you from outside your house with a megaphone, that he discovered an easy way to get into one of your doors, but won't tell you which one unless you give him ten bucks.

Being forced to go out of my way to disable annoyances and unwanted features in a product is usually a pretty good indicator, that it might be time to move on to another one, so I'm looking at self-hosted bitwarden at the moment. At least if enpass isn't going to provide a way of disabling the whole audit-feature or its alerts. Or if they make it accessable to pro-users I guess, though I get why they'd need continued revenue to sustain something like this. Then again I didn't ask for this feature and take offense at being bombarded with up-sell-scare-ads in an app I paid for.

The android-version is using the wording "Pro Features" instead, though I don't know if this was always the case or just since a recent update.

In the Korean version, it is marked as "All Access (Lifetime)". !!!
IOS version and latest version.

I also don't understand that I have to proceed with the subscription.
Nevertheless, no matter how well I try to understand it, I can't understand the difference between an upgrade to 12,000 won per year and a regular subscription at 14,616 won per year.

Well, that's just needlessly stupid. Why claim an offer to be exclusive to pro-users, when it's pretty much the same as for anybody else (and then misrepresenting/inflating the "regular" msrp to arrive at the larger discount-percentage)? Are they trying to anger pro-users on purpose now?

I have a hard time believing that anybody at enpass could have thought that such a transparent deceit would go undetected. Especially since they're already getting heat on the whole "pro-v-premium"-issue.
