Hi,

Currently, a large part of the unused space remains on the left. It would be better if formatting started from the left. Currently, the text is extremely narrow :(

A great option would be to add some simple text formatting options eg. bold, italics etc.

  • Hi Team. Please, please, please make it possible to change the width of the  middle column. It is necessary for very long usernames ... . Thanks in advance.

  • This is being ignored now since more than 4 years. Any update?  Do you have any plans to respect this feedback?

  • @RVG It's not exactly a luxury to be able to make notes with your passwords. Every password manager I've seen so far has that option, and with good reason. People who need password managers are usuall

Hi,

Thanks for using Enpass and writing to us.

We have noted down your valuable suggestion and forwarded it to the concerned team for further consideration.

Thanks!

Please position the text left oriented using the complete space.

It requires a much too big window right now to get an exceptional size of details, leaving a lot of space totally empty.

Thanks a lot.

Update 6.3.3.: Still alle this wasted screen space. Is this so difficult?

Hi @Matis,

Thanks for the valuable feedback. It's been duly noted and shared with the development team for further consideration.

+1 (Actually, +1,000,000 - this is one of my main gripes about Enpass, I use the notes section extensively, and it's aggravating that is not using the space properly)

It is a pain on a hi-res screen to lose so much space, being able to widen the either area would be good then I would be able to see my item headings in full.

You promissed to fix this. Since how many releases?

Are u not able to fix something this simple? I‘m really diasspointed.

Hi @Matis,

Please note that we already have a feature request for implementation in the future. However, we’re not sure of a specific timeline when this will be implemented. If you have any other queries, please let us know. Thanks.

I do not understand you guys. Now you have deployed an update with smaler letters to display more stuff, BUT you still left this HUGE WASTE OF SPACE on the screen.

It is unbelievable how difficult this must be. Do you not have an expert in HMI? I'm really disappointed. This is so annoying.

Oh there is even nothing new on the screen with the update. You just made the classic theme as default. Never mind. After two year a remindes seems to be worth while anyway.

I'd like to second this.

Not only do quite a few people have hundreds of logins and serials to keep track off, it's often more than worth it to keep some sort of log with them. What customer they belong to, what project, what anomalies took place, a few dates, cross relations with other accounts..

Over the years, it can grow to be quite a bit of text. It would be very helpful to have rich text formatting, to keep things clear.

I have used 1Password for some time on a few projects and it's a great password manager, but not a day went by without the thought coming up: Why can't I format my text?

Hey @laptopleon

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you for reaching out about this. We already have a feature request to improve the notes section in Enpass and we have considered this for improvement. Please bear with us.

You mentioned that this was on the feature requests list. I couldn't find an actual feature request list, so I assumed this was it. and that it's open for 'upvotes'.

I'm sorry if this was inappropriate.

The UI has three panels.  It would be nice to have the Category/Tags and Items panels being able to be able to expand them by about twice their current size limitation.  The right panel that has the currently displayed Item being shown wastes a lot of screen real estate.  There is a big gap on the left of the right pane that is just empty space.  The item that is being displayed should left justify against this pane instead of displaying in the middle of the pane.

  • Ryushin changed the title to Panel Resizing and Right Panel Has Wasted Space

Hi @Ryushin,

Thank you for reaching out about this. Please note that we already have a feature request for the same, which is aligned for implementation in the future.

This must be really difficult, since years no change.

And customer satisfaction and inputs seem also to be not important.
Very sad!

Now more and more applications support Markdown, I hope Enpass supports it too, thanks!

Hi,

I'm not totally sure if this is the good topic but yes, we are not able to resize the left and middle panel sufficient enough in order to view all contents.

Check the screenshot I added, I can't make wider the middle panel and so I can't view all the entries titles.

Screenshot taken on KDE desktop (up-to-date) on a standard 4k screen, default configuration.

QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0

So, @Pratyush Sharma, do you have any ETA about the resolution of this issue ?

Thanks,

Hi @gyan000

You can adjust the columns to a certain degree in the application by dragging the edges of the column towards left or right. I have also shared this as  feedback with the concerned team for more flexibility. Appreciate your patience in the meantime.
