@Masterframe, from the Enpass app version info you provided, it sounds like you are using the latest Enpass Windows API (Win32) edition. This is the edition of the app that you download from the Enpass website and click/run-to-install, like traditional applications. Enpass also publishes an edition that is installed through the Microsoft Store. The current/latest version of the Enpass app installed from the Microsoft Store is 6.7.4 (934).
I suggest you:

  • Confirm you have a recent backup of your Enpass vault and/or your vault is synced to a cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).
  • Check if you have both editions of Enpass installed. Open the Windows Settings app, and in Apps > Apps & features, look for both Enpass and Enpass Password Manager. See screenshot below.

  • If you see both, select Enpass Password Manager and click Uninstall. This will remove the Enpass app installed through the Microsoft Store.
  • Next, select Enpass and click Modify. You may see a UAC prompt to elevate privileges. In the Enpass Setup window that appears, click Repair.
  • After the repair process completes, reboot your computer. Don't click the Launch button at the end of the repair. Doing so might open/run Enpass as a different/administrative user, depending on your computer's configuration.
  • After rebooting, the next time you attempt to fill login fields in Chrome or Firefox using Enpass, you may be prompted to authorize the Enpass browser extension to access the Enpass app. If so, you will see a prompt to enter a 6-digit code (automatically provided to you).

Hope this helps! If so, please give this response a like. :)

Oh, another suggestion:

In Enpass, select your entry/item for Filecrypt. Just select it from the list, don't click the edit button. In the right-hand pane (showing info for the Filecrypt entry), uncheck the Autosubmit Login option, if not already unchecked. Go to the Filecrypt login page and use Enpass to fill the login info. Manually click the Log in button. Maybe Autosubmit Login doesn't work (well) with the Filecrypt login page...?

The parameter is already unchecked for the item in Enpass. Checked it again carefully.

The version from the Microsoft Store is no option for me.

Yes, it is. It should stay that way.

Thanks for the new version. I just installed the new version. Unfortunately the problem persists.

Could the ID of the input field be the problem?

<input type="text" name="password" id="p4assw0rt"  autofocus autocomplete="off" placeholder="Passwort eingeben">

An account is not necessary. A simple container is enough. I created one for you.

Link: https://filecrypt.cc/Container/5F2B023D07.html

Passwort: Masterframe

Reproduction:

1) Create an entry in Enpass. The password in the Username field.

2) Open the url of the test container in the browser.

3) Select the created entry via the Enpass add-on.

The error has existed for over 4 months and since then I've unfortunately only read the same answer. We use Filecrypt many times every day and the handling is just cumbersome. Having to manually copy the data every time gets on our last nerve.

It is therefore desirable that the error is corrected as soon as possible. Thanks for that.

Hey @Masterframe,

I appreciate you for being patient with us. During the investigation, our team found that Enpass only Autofill's on the Login page having Username, Email, and Password textbox. Enpass is working as expected for https://filecrypt.cc/Login.html or https://filecrypt.cc/Register.html having the same URL saved in the item. Enpass is saving the data correctly as well as Auto filling correctly. But, for https://filecrypt.cc/Create.html, Enpass is not considering it as a login/register page and the password textbox is not a password textbox. If you are creating an item of another domain having https://filecrypt.cc or https://filecrypt.cc/Create.html as its part, then Enpass open a new tab every time regardless if the URL is already opened or not. Hence, it is the expected behavior.

Hi @Manish Chokwal

Thanks for the statement.

I think we talk over the different scenarios.  You talking from the  Login or create a new container. I'm talking about an existing container. I have created another example for this: https://filecrypt.cc/Container/2F8EAEEEC6.html. The password is >>>test<<< (without arrows). As you can see, the BaseURL is the same as for https://filecrypt.cc/Register.html.

The ID of the input field for the password in an existing container (https://filecrypt.cc/Container/2F8EAEEEC6.html) is called "p4assw0rt". The name of the same field is "password". The entry in Enpass has the Website parameter set to "https://filecrypt.cc" and the Password parameter set to "test". So, should Enpass recognize the field correctly and enter the password?
