Option to choose how long Enpass stays unlocked

Featured Replies

Currently, Enpass locks automatically after a short period of non-usage. When the environment in which I am using Enpass is safe, such as in my home, it is annoying to have to unlock frequently. I propose that users be allowed to choose how long Enpass will remain unlocked due to non-usage.

You can manually set, when Enpass will lock itself. Depending on the device you're using, settings are found at different places, most likely located under "Security" and then "Lock after".

As an alternative, you can modify the duration for the "Enpass is idle for" or "System inactive for" options to control when Enpass automatically locks.

I know but that's not what I want. Overall Enpass is quite fine, but this one thing is annoying as hell. Especially when using tablet without keyboard. Connected via RDP to remote host with Enpass. Autolocking every minute. And of course you can't unlock with PIN - you have to write master password EVERY time. Of course, only if you can see Enpass window... On screen keyboard opening makes it disappear or moves it off screen...

@Kliwer,Thank you for sharing your feedback—we understand how frustrating frequent auto-locks can be, especially in specific use cases like using Enpass via RDP on a tablet without a keyboard.

While Enpass currently does not offer a "Never" option for security reasons, here are a few workarounds that may improve your experience:

  1. Extend the Lock Time:

    • Increase the "Enpass is idle for" and "System inactive for" duration to the maximum allowed time.
    • You can find this option under:
      Settings > Security > Auto-Lock.
  2. Disable 'Lock When Enpass is Closed':

    • Ensure this option is disabled to prevent locking when the window is minimized or hidden.

If you continue to face issues with the Enpass window disappearing when using the on-screen keyboard, feel free to provide us with your device details and Enpass version—we’ll be happy to investigate further.
