Egor K Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Hi Enpass team, I've been using Enpass for a few years and overall very happy. Never had to regret for purchasing Lifetime Pro until now. Please tell me, why do you think that adding ads of Premium subscription to someone who already paid for Pro is a good idea? Just had to install and activate new copy and the first thing I see is February 14th Sale on Premium. The second thing I see is "Explore Premium" banner at the top menu bar. What the heck? Like, seriously? Here is the actual question - will you remove the ads of any sort for your paid customers in the next release? Thanks! 1
varrina Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 (edited) I wish to wholly associate myself with the succinct comments of Egor K. I am likewise a longstanding Enpass Pro Lifetime user and I object to the appearance of adverts within the console of the Enpass application. When online I take active countermeasures to block advertisements, so you might imagine my irritation as to their unexpected appearance. However of far greater concern to me is that having setup my password vault synchronisation to work exclusively "in house" utilising WebDav (as far as security is concerned one can never be to paranoid) it is not clear whether the Enpass application is "phoning home". Frankly this has shaken my faith in the product - can Enpass offer any reassurance in this regard or is it time for me to look elsewhere ? Edited February 17 by varrina 1
Egor K Posted February 28 Author Report Posted February 28 Yes, the Feb 14th is gone but under Account info there is still "Upgrade to Premium Plan", but the most concerning thing is the lack of response from Enpass team. I guess we'll see. 1
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 Enpass Pro users will not be charged again and will never be forced to subscribe however Enpass does encourage its Pro users to upgrade to Premium Lifetime as it includes robust security features like 2FA, Breach Monitoring and Passkey compatibility audit. Upgrading from Pro to Premium is entirely at the user's discretion.
JonInAtl Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 Another Lifetime Pro user feeling screwed over. I know you don't care because you already have my money, but now SPAMMING your PAID customers is completely unacceptable. I really regret ever getting involved with Enpass. Â
Lifetime Pro Posted March 22 Report Posted March 22 I am also a Lifetime user and can understand the annoyance. There needs to be better communication from Enpass here! I can understand that you want to generate regular income, but upsetting the people who brought you here in the first place is bad. I feel like I'm being taken for a ride here too.  I'm a Pro user and the app wants me to pay €70 for a lifetime license. If I go to the homepage, it only costs 56€. I would assume that a loyal existing customer would pay less! I'm disappointed in you! 1
Node Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 There needs to be an option to disable this. Seeing a wide ad in a security software such as a password manager felt like it got compromised.
Amandeep Kumar Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 @NodePlease provide your email ID to me in DM, and we will manually disable it for you in the future.
Renn Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 (edited) @Amandeep Kumar@Tarun Singh Rawat I wish you still remember what you said. If you truly believe your annoyance to push lifetime subscribers to pay once more is "very important security or Enpass related news", this thing is dead to me. I kept this thing on and granted notification permission out of TRUST and you seem just backstabbed my trust for $60, seriously? Edited March 27 by Renn
Renn Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 (edited) And I won't pay a cent more than $20 to "upgrade" to the premium, you have my word. The choice is not between $60 and $20, it's between $20 and absolutely NOTHING. Edited March 27 by Renn
Renn Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 (edited) BTW even if you did upgrade to the premium tier there's no guarantee that there won't be another "premium plus" tier in a few years that will put more banners and popups and notifications on your apps, they've done it once they'll do it again. fermati Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 Today there is a new ad banner, on the top bar near the Preferences button: Explore Premium. I did not see this one appear until today here in the US, although LifetimePro saw something similar on 03/22/25 in Europe. It offer 40% off with a coupon to add 30% off for Pro users: ENP30PROLT. And when going to the purchase page, the coupon code is rejected as "invalid or expired", although there is a 25% discount already applied (on the US page it states that the original price is $99.99, and it is offered now for $74.99). Could we know what the enpass company is doing here? Â
fermati Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 Just an update: a few hours later the offer went down from 40% to 25%, and the code is still invalid. This is turning into a sad joke. Â
fermati Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Today, the extra 30% for Pro users is gone. The 25%, that was 40% for a few hours yesterday, is still there, though. At best, this company is incompetent, but we can always suspect that maybe there is a lack of honesty, enticing people with offers that never existed, and making them disappear as soon as customers expose them. It is unlikely I will ever give more money to Enpass, sorry.
