David Gerety Posted October 12, 2025 Report Posted October 12, 2025 I have an iPad Air. My wife has an iPad Mini, both running the same lifetime license. The iPad Air syncs just fine using iCloud sync. The Mini will not sync. The settings are the same. I've used my email/password on both tablets. I tried for years to use wi-fi sync, but that turned out to be a waste of time. Any suggestions are most welcome. Thank you.
Amandeep Kumar Posted October 13, 2025 Report Posted October 13, 2025 To better assist you, could you please confirm the exact error message you’re seeing on the iPad Mini when trying to sync via iCloud? This will help us identify what might be causing the issue. Once we have that information, we’ll guide you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps.
David Gerety Posted October 13, 2025 Author Report Posted October 13, 2025 There isn't any message. 'Synchronizing' flashes for a split second when Sync Now is touched, but it doesn't update. The iPad Mini shows about 70 fewer entries and 1 less attachment than the iPad Air and my Mac computer. Thanks for your help.
Amandeep Kumar Posted October 14, 2025 Report Posted October 14, 2025 Could you please confirm that both devices are connected to the same iCloud account for the vault? If they are and you’re still seeing a difference in item counts, please email us at support@enpass.io with all relevant details. If possible, include a screen recording from both devices showing the issue. Note: Please make sure to hide or blur any sensitive fields in the recordings before sending. This will help us investigate more effectively while keeping your data secure.
David Gerety Posted October 14, 2025 Author Report Posted October 14, 2025 I believe you may have found the problem with Sync. How do I check which iCloud account the iPads are connected to? Both of them are registered to my email address and password. In the Vaults section, under Primary, they are connected to iCloud, but there are no additional settings that I can see. Thank you.
Amandeep Kumar Posted October 15, 2025 Report Posted October 15, 2025 Could you please share a screenshot of the Vaults section on both devices? We’d like to verify that the vaults are connected to the same iCloud account.
David Gerety Posted October 22, 2025 Author Report Posted October 22, 2025 First is my iPad, then my wife's. Thanks so much for your help. David
Amandeep Kumar Posted October 24, 2025 Report Posted October 24, 2025 Thank you for sharing the screenshot. However, we’ll need a screenshot that shows the iCloud account being used on both devices. Please make sure that both devices are signed in with the same iCloud account. If they’re not, then while connecting the vault to the cloud on your wife’s device, please select “Connect with a different cloud account.” Once you’ve verified this, please share the screenshots so we can proceed with further checks.
David Gerety Posted November 3, 2025 Author Report Posted November 3, 2025 Hi, I've deleted Enpass from my wife's iPad and reinstalled it, but nowhere in the process did I see “Connect with a different cloud account.” I see the text shown on the attached screenshot, but no place to change to a different Cloud network. Should I try using Box or NextCloud instead? Are they secure? I'd like to stick with iCloud as I already have the account, or even better, use Wi-Fi but it's never worked. But I'm stumped. Can you send me a screenshot of the page showing the option to change Cloud networks? Thank you, David
Amandeep Kumar Posted November 4, 2025 Report Posted November 4, 2025 Thanks for the follow-up! Could you please email us at support@enpass.io along with a short screen recording showing where the option to “Connect with a different cloud account” is missing on your iPad? That’ll help our technical team check what’s going wrong. (While recording, please make sure to hide any sensitive information such as passwords or personal data.) Here’s what you can try in the meantime: Open Enpass → Settings → Vaults. Select your vault → tap Disconnect from the current cloud. Then choose Set up Sync → iCloud (or another preferred service) — this is where you’ll see the option to sign in with a different cloud account. Regarding your question, Box and NextCloud are also secure options, but since you already use iCloud, you can definitely continue with it once the sync setup is refreshed.
David Gerety Posted November 4, 2025 Author Report Posted November 4, 2025 I am sending a brief screen video to the support email address. Set up Sync is what I cannot find, and the solution to the issue, I'm sure. I don't see it anywhere. Thanks david 1
tiffwalker8 Posted November 21, 2025 Report Posted November 21, 2025 In many cases, the problem is that iCloud is not fully enabled for the app on the Mini. Be sure to double-check that iCloud Drive is enabled, that the app has iCloud permissions, and that both are using the same Apple ID. A quick sign out/sign in to iCloud on the Mini often resolves this issue.
