Use favicon images for logins with URLs

Featured Replies

One thing I loved about 1Password in terms of it's UI was the fact that it grabbed the website favicon for any entries with a URL in them. That would eliminate (or replace) the need for specific icons and having to keep them updated or maintained. I think it'd be a nice addition to the UI for Enpass.

Hi @DustinDauncey, Here we are planning to introduce a rich icon support for URLs and of course, our team is putting vast efforts to deliver the best. At the moment I can't confirm any ETA.

Coming from Safe-in-Cloud, the favicon option is the best. So I second this request. IIRC, if you don't want the favicon or if the site doesn't have one, you can just assign one of the built in icons

Hi @DustinDauncey,

Keep suggesting.

Thanks a lot

:)

Custom icons have been brought up here before, but favicon makes sense too. My only issue with favicons, I have a couple websites which don't have one (my library and bank), so I'm hoping we can choose an icon if there's no favicon available.

One more vote from me! Another great, nifty feature from 1Password that I'd love seeing here.

Definitely, it helps to visualize the entries. Please save the favicons, it does not take much memory space.

+1 for the feature request

Hello,

I am using KeePass and I think about switching to Enpass.
In KeePass (and also in 1Password) I have a feature to download the Favicons of all entries.
This feature is missing in Enpass.

In KeePass I also can add a custom Icon to an entry (for example: Software Licences that have no URL).
Please add also this feature.

Regards

OLLI

I would appreciate this feature, too! There are some APIs which you could use for this feature, like getfav.com or grabicon.com, so you do not have to implement it yourself

This is such a great idea because it would allow us to have beautiful icons without having to do the hassle of changing them ourselves manually.
