Duncan.K Posted December 30, 2018 Report Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) So I just purchased pro after a glowing review of Enpass that I read online. I have been using LastPass for at least eight years but I like the fact that Enpass stores passwords locally (and via your own cloud services). Well, I downloaded the CSV file from LastPass / export to my desktop. I open Enpass and continue to import but get the error message "Nothing to Import". I would greatly appreciate any help. Edited December 30, 2018 by Duncan.K Wrong error message.
superpit Posted December 30, 2018 Report Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) same problem and the same errormessage with Roboform V8.55 when importing. Bug in Enpass V6? Using Enpass-Windows-Store-Version. Edited December 31, 2018 by superpit
kingshill Posted December 30, 2018 Report Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) Are you using the windows version? I have the same issue there. I can't import a windows exported file (version 4.x) into Enpass; neither on Win10 nor on MacOS. Edited December 30, 2018 by kingshill
Duncan.K Posted December 30, 2018 Author Report Posted December 30, 2018 @superpitThat's a shame. Not a good start. @kingshillYes, using Windows 10.
Hari Posted December 31, 2018 Report Posted December 31, 2018 (edited) Just save the html as .txt file and import it in V6. Even though it shows csv it will also import text files for lastpass @Duncan.K Edited December 31, 2018 by Hari quoted the author 1
Duncan.K Posted January 1, 2019 Author Report Posted January 1, 2019 Hi Hari, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it gives me the same error when I try to import the txt file.
Vinod Kumar Posted January 15, 2019 Report Posted January 15, 2019 Hi all, We have an issue related to Lastpass import. Please wait for next update. Thanks.
LuckyBucky Posted January 20, 2019 Report Posted January 20, 2019 Hi Vinod, when does the next update will be available? Can't import from 1P - nothing to import. Wether language is german or the export format is changed to csv
JennyM Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) For me worked using the .txt version (although it said csv in the import window)... Edited April 3, 2019 by JennyM
Andy Fore Posted April 28, 2019 Report Posted April 28, 2019 I have successfully imported the complete vault from Lastpass several times. The process that seems to work best for me is to do the following: Export Vault from Lastpass Select all text and save as plaintext file with ".csv" extension Open file in Excel (or some other spreadsheet program, Google Docs, LibreOffice, etc.) Save file as CSV file from inside the spreadsheet software Import resulting file into Enpass using the Lastpass import type Every time I have done this I got a complete import of all the data. 1
Krosfyah Posted January 8, 2020 Report Posted January 8, 2020 Tried these 5 steps. I'm getting error "Something Went Wrong. Error 9999" with never progress of ending blue circles.
Pratyush Sharma Posted January 9, 2020 Report Posted January 9, 2020 Hi @Krosfyah Sorry for the inconvenience. First, please reinstall Enpass and check if the issue fixes. If the issue persists, please let us know. Thanks.
gregoir911 Posted March 29, 2023 Report Posted March 29, 2023 Hi, I am writing to you because I would like to import lastpass (windows version), and I have the same problem: empty file. I tried the different manipulations above, but nothing to do... Thank you for your help (and sorry for my english!)
Abhishek Dewan Posted March 30, 2023 Report Posted March 30, 2023 Hi @gregoir911 Welcome to the Enpass Forums. For troubleshooting purposes, please try the below steps - I recommend checking our highly useful guide on importing your data to Enpass to ensure that you are not missing any crucial steps. Create a fresh export file from lastpass and try importing again (Please do not open the exported file before importing it). If the issue persists, please share the below details and I’ll have this further investigated for you - The version of the Enpass app, Lastpass app, and OS you are using. A screenshot of the error occurring would be helpful.
Fabian1 Posted April 2, 2023 Report Posted April 2, 2023 Don't buy Enpass. This support sucks. They're kidding us. They've been doing that for years. They write that they will fix the problem in the next update. That never happens. They want a demo account that will never be called. They say that they forward the requests to some teams. That doesn't happen. Everything goes straight to the recycle bin. What's more, Enpass has been evasive in answering questions about security for years. We have to assume that Enpass contains very large security vulnerabilities that have not been fixed for years. I strongly advise against using Enpass. Don't buy Enpass. 2
