Chromium/Brave Browser Extension unusable (red background problem)

Featured Replies

Hello,

The version 6.0.2 of the Enpass Extension for Chromium does not work with the actual version of the Brave Browser on OSX (Version 0.65.121 Chromium: 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)).

After activating, it shows up with a large red space in the background and seems not to respond to any user interactions (visible response). Looks to me as if the extension cannot handle high resolution displays, but i could be wrong.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Does someone else have the same problem?

I have a very similar issue with the Chrome extension on OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra (MacBook Pro).  I see this red area when I move from my laptop screen to my thunderbolt display with higher resolution.  I have a different problem when moving from the thunderbolt display to my lower resolution laptop screen in  that the Enpass window is overly large.  It seems that the Enpass plugin isn't adjusting for any (transient) change in screen resolution. I've found that killing and restarting Enpass fixes the resolution issue - but it's a pain as a work-around.

Please share some more info so that we can check further.

  • Which macOS and Enpass version are you using?
  • Are you using the multi-monitor system? If yes, please share the screen resolution of both monitors.
  • Are you facing this problem in any specific condition or frequently.

Thanks for your co-operation.

Google Chrome is up to date
Version 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Mac os X Mojave 10.14.6

EnPass: 6.1.3 (420)
Chrome En pass Extension: 6.0.2

It looks changing to multi-monitor system to a single monitor, was causing the issue.
Monitor was 14" 1920 x 1200
current resolution on my mac 15" 2018 - Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

After a reboot with one monitor (no multi monitor) everything was fine !

Does anyone know how to fix this? With the red background, the plugin is not usable.

June, July, August, September, October Same problem as 5 month ago and no fix. Can you tell me on what kind of problem do you working on? The extension is broken! The problem happens when we use only the macbook screen. With connected 2nd and 3rd external display the extenstion is working without a problem. But after switch back to single dispaly and reboot of chrome or reinstall of extension problem is still there

Problem on my mac appears every time i switch from three displays to mac single display use. After restart of Chrome and enpass The extension will appear without any problems. But this is not so suitable in practice.
