Guys, Enpass software worked perfectly for years on my Windows PCs. You broke it. After my initial semi-positive impression, now - after using it for a while - I think the update was a disaster and I'd like to go back to the old version. I already mentioned, multiple times, the awful UI re-design decisions that serve no purpose other than to annoy. I don't really care if the app looks modern or dated as long as it works and Enpass for Windows no longer works reliably and the user experience is worse than before. For Enpass, it's the functionality that must be #1 priority, not the looks. At least twice a week I need to reauthorize the Firefox extension. I've removed and reinstalled extension several times, but that doesn't help. The app is painfully slow to start, it goes through at least two different windows opening, it just looks weird. What the hell did you do with it? What is now, some kind of Webview hack? It no longer automatically fills any password fields in Firefox and Chrome, I need to click on the extension icon to fill. The app crashes when: - starting up - when reauthorizing the Firefox extension for the Nth time - when clicking on the extension icon in Firefox to fill The bug report window opens and, ironically, it's broken too, I can't send the report - the window is frozen and then it says it failed to send the report. Sad. After crashing, or just randomly when opening, the app reverts to light mode. What else is broken? This is a crucial piece of software for me and it's clearly worse now and I don't even know what else may be broken. Is it even reliable any more? I have backups but I worry about integrity of the database. I don't trust this software any more. You broke the basic functionality for the sake of questionable appearance update and you ruined years of trust. Can I please have the old app back?

Sorry, but yeah, the more I use this new version the less l like and I keep finding new annoyances, all were already covered on this forum. Except for cleaner looks, everything else is a step back in functionality: lower display density, pointless extra spacing hidden Copy and Show widgets hidden Notes field obnoxiously bright yellow Notes field everything now takes more clicks and more scrolling it asks me every few days to re-authenticate the Firefox extension user and password fill breaks randomly or is now broken for many websites At this point I'd like to just go back to the previous version. I might have looked old but it worked fine.

Yes, this new UI reduces efficiency and adds several annoying UI issues. Why are the Copy and Show widgets hidden now? For the sake of what? What did we gain because of this? There is just useless empty space now.

No, this issue is still not resolved in 16.12.3. Notes are still hidden/folded. Can we just please have the old version of Enpass back? Yeah, it looked dated, but it worked fine. This new version has several jarring UI issues and usability regressions.

It asks me every few days to verify the Firefox extension too. Also, the password fill randomly stops working. I've removed and reinstalled the extension, didn't help. This, plus several very jarring UI issues, makes me want to go back to the old version. This was a completely pointless update and brought nothing except annoyances.

Another irritating issue that became more apparent after some use. Why are Copy and View widgets now hidden under hover? What is the point??? What did we gain from this change? There is plenty of space. It's now wasted space for no reason. This is annoying and irritating. Not only everything is bigger now, but it's now empty too. Please give an option to always show the widgets. Another problem is that it keeps asking me to verify the Firefox extension every few days and password fill randomly stops working. The app is painfully slow to launch too compared to the old one.

Hi, thanks! yes, like I said in the previous post, it's been partially fixed in 6.12.2: "The Notes fields stay expanded now, once expanded. They're still hidden after app relaunch though." Also, I'd like a QoL feature to disable the bright yellow color for the notes, it really is unnecessary, make it the same color as the rest of the window, the way it used to be. These are not "sticky notes", there is no reason for the notes field to be bright yellow. Both of the above are regressions of usability, it was fine before, there was no need to change these. Please consider fixing this also, thank you!

Thank you for the update. The Notes fields stay expanded now, once expanded. They're still hidden after app relaunch though. I still hope you'll add an option to change the notes color back to the way it was before: the same as the rest of the window. This bright yellow really is overdone and serves no purpose. Thank you.

This is for the Windows version. I'm "update averse", as nearly all software updates these days break software or degrade usability for the sake of changes, so I was scared to apply the update, seeing that Enpass was redesigned. I fully expected a disaster. I have to admit though, that I was not a complete disaster as this new Enpass improved the looks and the functionality without breaking too much. EDIT 2026-06-30 - after some use I am getting increasingly irritated with this new UI. Some annoying regressions of usability for no good reason other than "make it look modern". Pointless changes for sake of changes. Please give us options to customize the UI. The main content screen is mostly nice, definitely an improvement over the old one, it's cleaner, looks better and I like the new dark mode, the old one was black, like the early Windows 10 dark mode. I like the addition of standard menus in the upper left too. But, it's not all that good, I see few annoying issues. I don't like that the notes field is now an eye scorching bright yellow and that it's folded by default. Can you please consider adding an option to make notes the same color as the window, the way it used to be, and not fold/hide it by default? I use notes a lot and it's now very uncomfortable to look at them when working in dark mode in a dimly lit room. It literally lights up the room when unfolded. And you missed the opportunity to make the notes field re-sizable in edit mode which would be more of an improvement than the painfully bright, yellow color. There is no need to associate "notes" with "yellow" any more, even Post-it started offering blue, white and gray stickies over a decade ago. The new icons are also too bright, too colorful, this is unnecessary decoration that adds nothing but visual noise. Can we please have the option to go back to the old gray glyphs or hide them altogether as they are nearly as painful as the yellow notes? Same for item icons, you increased the saturation. I use website icons whenever possible and the default icons do stick out. I'm not too crazy about the new settings either. It looks and works too much like the dreaded Windows 11 Settings App, but I suppose I can get used to it. There is too much empty space and display density is low like on mobile devices. Now everything is too big and there is more scrolling required to access settings while the window can't be enlarged. This is a regression in usability. And for what? Yes, please let us permanently disable this unwanted, pointless and terribly annoying and infuriating feature that solves no problems. My primary devices are PCs and I use Enpass on my phone very rarely. As a result, I am asked for my password every time on my iPhone now and it always happens in really inconvenient moments. I have a very long and complex password which makes matters that much worse. I don't think the "disable reminder" feature works. Who the hell thought this was a good idea???

That's why these nags exist, that's why vendors do nags: to annoy and frustrate you enough that you give up and pay a subscription. I'm not paying for a sub, I'd rather start putting my passwords in a spreadsheet than pay a subscription. Subscriptions exist because people let them. If we refused subs, they'd go away.

Yeah, I just got a nasty upgrade nag in my desktop apps and I paid for a lifetime Pro license before 2019. Not cool. Subscriptions suck, plain and simple and nearly $90 for a full license is excessive. Will the nag go away? I really hate to see ads in software I paid for. Send me an email, but in-app nags are low. I get it that you may need money but $90 is a no go. Subscription is a no go either. Please re-think this. Not cool.

It just happens randomly on all my devices since I’ve switched to OneDrive. I was just wondering if you are aware of any issues with OneDrive. I'm thinking about trying WiFi sync instead of cloud sync. I’ll see how that works out. Thank you.

Hi! 1. I noticed that Enpass is not in sync so I pressed the Sync icon manually, then the error comes up that I'm trying to sync different databases and I have to fix it by merging. 2. Windows 11 22H2/Enpass 6.8.3 (1152), Android 11/Enpass 6.8.3.726. iPadOS 15.6.1/Enpass 6.8.3 (667) 3. It doesn't happen on all devices at the same time though. I may try that if it starts happening more often. I may try WiFi sync too instead of cloud.
