OS X MOjave cannot ad a field with new name

I tried to add a field. I get a box marked "field name" but when I click "add field" the entry shows  "Field Name" "whatever I typed in the box."

This is not intuitive. I expected a "field Name" and "field Value" box.  I have worked round this but it is clunky

You can change the 'field name' and also can choose the 'field type' as per your requirement. To do so, please refer to this link of our user manual.
