iCloud Sync not possible anymore

Featured Replies

I can't sync with iCloud anymore.

Steps:

  • Browser opens (checked Firefox and Chrome) and I have to insert my iCloud Username and Password
  • 2-FA is being displayed and I am providing the 2nd factor
  • Browser is asking me to open a link with Enpass which I am confirming
  • Browser and Enpass are both showing a spinning wheel (infinite)

Any ideas what to try?

Technical details:

  • Enpass for Windows 6.4.2 (669)
  • Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19363
  • Chrome 85.0.4183.83 / Firefox 80.0.1
  • Sync with macOS and iOS is working without any issue (same Network)

Hi @Moex,

Welcome to the forum!

Please follow the below steps and let me know if you still face the same issue-

  • Open Enpass --> Click on 'Settings' --> Tap on 'Vaults' --> Select the 'Vault' --> Click on 'Set up sync --> Select the 'iCloud' --> Use the credentials to login --> Tap on Allow and copy the URL mentioned on the browser--> Now go to Enpass app it would automatically sync.

If this doesn't help, please use one another browser apart from Firefox and Chrome as your default browser and share your findings.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your fast reply, Garima.

I tried the described steps using Firefox with no success. Afterwards I changed the default browser application to Chrome again AND deleted the browsers cache.

I could successfully sync now establishing the connection via Chrome.

Could you please check with a developer why old cookies (I assume that's the reason) could cause sync issues? I don't think the browsers cache should be important when establishing a new connection to iCloud as Enpass already states that a re-authentication is necessary to sync.

Hey @Moex

Thanks for sharing your inputs.

I have shared the info provided by you to the team. Also, I would like to share that for security reasons, your iCloud session expires periodically. To avoid this, please refer to this link to see the FAQ.

Thanks.
