2FA

Featured Replies

Additional security when adding a new device. 2FA would be excellent.

Hi @F3FO,

Thanks for using Enpass and writing to us.

It would be a great help if you can explain this scenario a bit more. It will help in a clear understanding of the request. Please let us know if you want to have a second-factor auth (2FA) while restoring data in a new device or adding a new device with your registered email address.

Thanks for your prompt response.
I would like to see F2A after I enter the master password to restore my database on a new device.

Hi @F3FO,

Thanks for writing back.

Currently, Enpass doesn't support 2FA as we don't store user's data on our servers. But we would like to inform you that you can use KeyFile along with the Master Password to add another security layer to access your database. Enpass appends the characters in the keyfile to the password and uses them together to encrypt your data.

You can now generate KeyFile from the Desktop version only and transfer it to other devices to use Keyfile. Follow the below-mentioned steps to generate KeyFile:

  • Open Enpass on your Desktop in which you can access all data.
  • Goto Setting ---> Security ---> Change Master password ---> Set New Master password --> Select advanced ----> Add keyfile --->Done.

For more details, have a look at our user manual.

Hope this helps!
