Please, What is the most "reliable" sync method.... least issues....

There are multiple ways to sync your data between devices: via any of the supported cloud services, or directly between devices over Wi-Fi. You can choose any method to synchronize your data according to your requirements -

1. Syncing data via supported cloud-storage services

2. Cloudless syncing via Wifi

I would like to sync via Wifi between my android phone which has all of my passwords on it to my desktop (where I just downloaded the app).  How can I be sure that the sync will go in the right direction (ie, all my passwords transferring to my computer and not the empty desktop version overwriting my phone)?  Sorry if it's a stupid question.

Welcome to the Enpass Forums.

Synchronization in Enpass depends on time stamps. When you will set up synchronization between your Android device and the Desktop app, all your Items from the Android app will automatically be available on your Desktop Enpass app. To learn more about Wifi-Sync, please refer to this link.
