  1. Share the cloud login credentials and secondry vault password with the new team members you intend to share the vault with.

This was the key step that I finally figured out. As I was so used to being able to share via WebDAV on NextCloud without needing to share login credentials, that was the stumbling block for me.

Thankfully, this works really well with the free version of DropBox.

    Thank you.

  2. I've tried using OneDrive Personal. The first problem was that the path has to be Apps > Enpass, which means it isn't possible to share just the Enpass folder. I have to share the entire Apps folder, which is potentially dangerous.

The second problem, and one I don't really understand, is that after sharing the folder and my colleague adding it to his OneDrive folder (so that is appears as Apps> Enpass), when he tries to restore from OneDrive, it says there isn't any data there.

So unless I've missed something, I can't use OneDrive either.

  3. I've been using Enpass with my team at work successfully for several years. We've only had the one, primary, vault and it has been stored on our NextCloud server, allowing each of us to sync via WebDav.

We've now got a new member of staff. I don't want to give them access to the full vault from day 1, so I was thinking of setting up a second vault that would be shared with them and then copy items over as and when they need them.

I've just tried this with Google Drive. Syncing works fine but I cannot find the data on Google Drive in order to share it with my new member of staff.

So that leads me to this question: which sync destinations support sharing with other users? The limitation of one Vault per sync destination account makes it impossible for me to use our NextCloud server.

    Thanks.

  4. I'm opening a lot of entries at the moment because I'm tidying stuff up after importing from another system. When I open an entry, the window appears with the bottom of it below the bottom of the screen. As a result, I have to drag the window up in order to be able to see the Save and Cancel buttons.

I have to do that every time I open an entry.

Can the software please remember where the window last opened and re-use that location?

    Thanks.

  5. We use Mailman which, for the admin interface, only has a password field. There isn't a username.

I've defined an entry in the Login category that has the correct URL for the admin interface and I've set the password. However, when I navigate to the page, the password field is not being filled in, even if I pick the entry from the browser plugin.

I've tried removing the user field and I've tried changing the name of the password field to match the name of the field in the browser page but neither has helped.

What do I need to do to get this to work, please? I've tested with Chrome and Firefox but the behaviour is the same.

  6. When a new item is created, it gains a default icon for the category that is picked when you create it. You can change that default icon to one from a set provided by enpass but, unless I'm missing something, it isn't possible to change the item's icon back to the category's default icon.

Am I missing something or is it not possible?

  7. Version 5.2.0 on Windows 10.

I've noticed that dragging an entry from one folder to another always ends up with that entry being in both folders, regardless of whether or not I press CTRL at the time. Pressing CTRL does change the icon from move to copy and releasing CTRL changes it back to move, but the resulting operation is always a copy.

  8. As requested, sharing resolution and scaling ...

Surface Pro 4 screen is 2736 x 1824 and scaling is 200%. External monitors (two of them) are 2560 x 1440 and scaling is 100%. This is with Windows 10.

Without the environment variable fix, enpass looks best on the built-in Surface Pro 4 screen. On the external monitors, the menus suffer the worst as items get dropped off the bottom without any indication that this has happened.

With the environment variable fix, enpass sort of looks OK on the external monitors although perhaps too much spacing whilst on the SP4 screen, it is all bunched up.

I'll probably stick with not using the environment variable fix for now and hope that Qt fixes the issue properly.
