Why Master Password necessary on reboot?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I’m using Enpass on my M1 iMac (beside iPhone and iPad Pro). But I’m wondering, why it’s necessary to enter Master Password instead of using Touch ID after app restart or rebooting my Mac? This behavior is not on iOS/iPadOS but on macOS :(

Also I think, this was not on an older version of Enpass… can we have this option back please, to always use TouchID?

Thanks and kind regards
René

Hi @ReneS

I appreciate you reporting the issue and will gladly assist you with your query. Could you please share the version of the Enpass app (Website or Store) and OS you are using on your Mac? Once I have that information, I will investigate this for you.

Hello Abhishek,

sorry for my late reply. Here ist the info you asked for:
6.7.4 (938)
And it’s a Mac App Store version.
Running macOS Monterey 12.2.1 on my M1 iMac 24"

Thanks and kind regards
René

Hello again,

I now also tested website version. Same problem here, I have to enter master password instead of TouchID if app is closed or my Mac is rebooted. :(

Kind regards
René
