Initiate in-app update on Windows7, received "empty file download"

Featured Replies

Notified within app of new update = 6.8.3.1155

Initiate in-app update and receive "empty file download" error on multiple tries over 24 hour period.

Current Enpass version = 6.8.2.1085. Previous in-app updates have been successful.
System = Win7X64 updated through end of support + continuing micro-patches through 0patch service.

What to do?

So, to clarify, ECS-31940 & ECS-32130 refer to the SAME problem.

What to do?

  • Moderator changed the title to Initiate in-app update on Windows7, received "empty file download"
  • 2 years later...

Found this post via search.  I *am* a registered Enpass user, and just got this exact same experience also on Windows 7 SP 1 64-bit in December 2024.

Furthermore, after I manually downloaded the update, I received the following error upon trying to install it:

The procedure entry point PowerRegisterSuspendResumeNotification could
not be located in the dynamic link library POWRPROF.dll.

So, apparently, the last version to work with Windows 7 is 6.9.5.
