Cannot setup iCloud sync, existing data

Hi,

I wanted to setup icloud sync on an iPhone. When I select iCloud, I get a warning about existing data, and have to give a password for the data. The password for my vault does not work. Afaik, I've never used iCloud for Enpass sync. How can I get rid of the "existing data"?

It appears there’s old Enpass data already stored in your iCloud, which is why Enpass is asking for a password that doesn’t match your current vault.

You can’t delete just the Enpass data directly from iCloud, but you can overwrite it from within Enpass:

  1. On your iPhone, open Enpass and set up sync with iCloud again.

  2. When Enpass detects existing data on iCloud and asks for the Master Password, intentionally enter a wrong password.

  3. After the failed attempt, a Help option should appear.

  4. Choose the option to overwrite the existing data on iCloud with a new database.

  5. Complete the sync setup so your current vault replaces the old data.
