Enpass 6.12.1 on Mac: Enpass mini does no longer close with ESC key

Previously I was able to open enpass mini via global hotkey, select the entry I needed, copy the password (CMD P) and then close the window to get back to the native app that requires the password.
As of 6.12. this no longer works. Pressing ESC does nothing.
