Allow Chrome to save passwords when enpass extension is enabled

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. Thank you for Enpass, it is an excellent password manager!

I noticed on Enpass (6.3.0) that I'm unable to save passwords on both Chrome manager and Enpass.

The browser extension is taking control of Chrome's manager and I would really like to be able to store passwords on both.

Is it Chrome's policy or could you make that happen? Thank you.

I second this. It's too drastic to entirely disable chrome's password manager unless Enpass' extension is disabled.

+1 this really should be an option if it's allowed by Chrome

Hey all,

The latest version of Enpass extension for Chrome doesn't disable Chrome's built-in password manager. Firstly, make sure you're using the latest extension. Afterwards, please try disabling the Enpass extension and check if that enables Chrome's password manager.

Thanks.

Hello Kashish. I've updated Chrome (version after update: 79.0.3945.88) and both Enapass (to 6.3.3) app and Chrome extension. Still, Enpass does not allow Chrome to save passwords while extension is active

Hello @Dimosthenis,

Could you please try uninstall and reinstall of the Enpass extension? Ideally, that should fix the issue, however, if the issue persists let us know.

Thanks.

Tip: If you don't want both Chrome and Enpass asking you wether you want to save passwords, you can disable Chrome asking in Chrome Settings -> AutoFill -> Passwords.
