Enpass freezes and uses 100% of CPU

Featured Replies

Updated to the newest version 5.5.5 (92).

It just hangs quite soon after startup. Takes 100% of CPU and becomes unresponsive.

Tried to disable ownCloud sync, didn't have any effect.

Hi @LKo

Sorry for the inconvenience. To investigate further on this issue, please provide some more details as:

  • Which OSX version and Mac machine are you using?
  • How many total items are there in Enpass?
  • Are you facing this problem in a specific condition ( During search or when you wake your system from sleep mode or any other scenario)?

For Testing Purpose:

Please also try if the same issue appears in the website version of Enpass (the one downloadable from our website, instead of AppStore).

Thanks for your co-operation!

I was checking TOTP codes and adding new entries. Happened every time I tried to use or add one.

  • 3 months later...

I also get Enpass freezing during startup. It's during the initial startup phase it seems to happen. I try to wait until everything has loaded fully, then enter my master unlock code. Sometimes it opens up fine, but randomly it can just freeze up, with 'Force Quit' showing in the Dock menu. Force Quitting and relaunching seems to sort it, and it's fine until the next Restart.

macOSX 10.12.6 (but it's been happening for a while now).

Apple Store version, with iCloud syncing.

289 items stored.

Cheers
