I would like to add my support to this feature request—definitely something that would be extremely useful to me.

me too - I would really like this feature to add tags to items I've forgotten to tag, so they don't get lost in the system

I want this in all apps that offer some kind of tagging, and it's almost never available.

+1 I need this. It is getting to messy in my vault without it. I need to manually search for all untagged items.
