what do i have to pay attention to when i want to install enpass (pro version) on a new pc?

Welcome to the forum!

Before going to install Enpass on a new PC, make sure you have synced the Enpass data on the old device with a cloud account so that you can restore the Enpass data on the new device easily. Now open Enpass on the new device as an existing user and restore the database from the particular cloud.

Once restore the Enpass data, click on the Enpass account page of the Enpass settings and restore the pro version.

I'm using Enpass Chrome Extension and setting up a new laptop I just downloaded and installed Enpass.

Unfortunately it keeps telling me, Master Password is wrong, but it is not of course and still working fine on the old machine.

There is a vault in the cloud and a local backup on the old laptop.

Please tell me what to do, to keep using Enpass on both laptops, thank you!

Thank you for no answer. I had to remove the Chrome extensions, and then the master pw was not wrong any longer.

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, and thanks for your update! Glad to hear removing the Chrome extension helped resolve the “Master Password is wrong” issue.

Another thing to check is whether multiple instances of Enpass are installed on your device, that can also cause similar issues.

Make sure you’re using the latest version of both the Enpass app and the browser extension, and everything should stay in sync across your devices.
