Scan QR code for 2FA

Featured Replies

I miss in Enpass the function that I can scan a corresponding QR code on the Mac for the 2FA procedure of one-time code and then directly this is entered into the card in Enpass.
Is there a possibility that this is also still built in like 1Password?

Hi @mike5186

In the Desktop version of the Enpass app, you will need to enter the secret key provided by the site or app to enable 2FA. However, in the iOS/Android version of the app, you can tap the QR-code icon to scan in the key. For more information, kindly refer to the steps in this link.

Is it possible to consider this for the future. So that this is programmed for the desktop version?

Many providers only show the QR code.

Hi @mike5186

I completely understand your point and have shared your comments as feedback with the development team so they may check the feasibility and implement this feature for future Enpass versions. Thank you for your patience in the interim.

I feel ya. The missing QR code scanning feature for 2FA in Enpass can be a real bummer.
Have you checked out Smart Engines SDK? It's a rad tool that can help you scan QR codes for 2FA procedures, just like you used to in Enpass.
The SDK is super easy to use and integrate into your workflow, and it's packed with advanced features like real-time recognition and the ability to detect multiple QR codes in one scan. This means that you can scan your 2FA QR codes and have the one-time code entered into your card in Enpass, just like you used to.
