Enpass does not store the path to the key-file and asks for master password and key every morning

Featured Replies

Hello,

I use Enpass with a local key file and every morning I need to log in into Enpass again, even though I have set in the settings that Enpass should be locked only when the system is inactive for 9999 minutes (which is 166 hours), so this option seems not to work.

When I log in into Enpass, I need to navigate to the key file every time, even though I have set the option that Enpass should remember the path to the key file (see attachment).

This seems to be two bugs. Would be good if this could be fixed!

Thanks, Maja

To better assist you, could you please provide the following details:

  1. Did you shut down the device the previous day?
  2. Did you quit the Enpass app the previous day?

Additionally, please perform the following steps:

  1. Disable the "Remember Keyfile" option.
  2. Re-enable the "Remember Keyfile" option.
  3. Lock Enpass.
  4. Please enter the master password and keyfile to unlock Enpass and check if it works.

If it still doesn't work, kindly share the pathway of the keyfile you are using (to check if there are any special characters that might be causing the issue).

Lastly, please share a screenshot of the locked screen once the issue occurs.
