December 12, 2025Dec 12 Ich changed the parameters of my my enpass-wifi-sync server and now i wish to reconfigure my iphone accordingly. For this, I would have to be able to - stop Wifi-sync - start Wifi-sync and change parameters. However Wifi-Sync on iPhone tries and tries and tries to sync. Then it stops with an error and the only thing I can do is make it start to try again, there seems to be no change to get to the configuration screen for Wifi-sync. As far as I can see, it is not possible to stop Wifi-sync and reconfigure sync mode.
December 12, 2025Dec 12 Author In the mean time I have possibly discovered a way to get to the sync configuration page: 1. Leave the Wifi-syc process alone until - after a very long time - it stops with an error. 2. On the sync screen, the wi-fi name is displayed in the line on top of the line showing the error message: There AN ARROW APPEARS on the right-hand side: Tap on that. 3. The screen displaying the sync methods appears. BE VERY QUICK NOW and tap on the last line displaying "disconnect" in red letters: IF YOU HESITATE, the Wifi-syncing starts again (aargh!). OK upon the fith try I succeeded in tapping on "disconnect". NOW a WINDOW pops up asking me if I really want to do this. BUT IF TAP "YES" the screen freezes AND THE (fruitless) Wifi-Sync process starts again. This is surely a bug.
December 12, 2025Dec 12 Author So I have opened a support ticket on this case; let's see what happens.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 This issue is usually related to the Local Network privacy permission on macOS and iOS. Please follow the steps below to resolve it: On macOS: Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Locate Enpass and make sure access is enabled. Stop the Wi-Fi Sync Server in Enpass and completely quit the app (Ctrl + Q). Reopen Enpass and start the Wi-Fi Sync Server again. On iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy → Local Network. Find Enpass and toggle access On. Fully close the Enpass app and reopen it. Once done, please try syncing again using Wi-Fi Sync and check if the issue is resolved. It’s good that you’ve opened a ticket with the Enpass support team—they’ll surely help you with resetting the Wi-Fi Sync setup as well. You can also refer to our manual setup guide here: https://www.enpass.io/wifi-sync-manual-setup/ Let us know if the issue persists.
