Dear support,

 

I wanted to upgrade to version 6.0 desktop and during installation process/ first window ENPASS asked me the master password which I just used on the old version 5.X and always worked.

With the result: WRONG Password!

I am 100% sure about my master password.

Please help.

Hi @ozswisssurf,

Please let me know your full Enpass Versions of both apps. You can check Enpass version from "About Enpass" menu in the Enpass App.

I had similar issue

forget about upgrade:

1- uninstall completely (make copy of your vault to another folder)

2- install fresh copy

3- use old file (vault) and open it 

this works - at least it worked for me

Its a pitty, I still cant use ENPASS on MAC 10.12.6 as I am not able to make a fresh installation beside I have removed the VAULT folder. The upgrade of ENPASS 6.0.2 (292) still not accpets my MasterPassword which is correct.

Can you help and let me know how I can make a fresh install?

Don't use v6. Delete it and download v5 from https://www.enpass.io/support/where-can-i-download-older-version-of-enpass/

v6 is buggy as hell and itsn't ready for general use. Plus, it the Mac version is now behind the Windows one with v6.0.3 having been released with a bunch of fixes.
