Won't remember Touch-ID-setting on Mac Desktop

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I just bought the desktopversion for the mac because I wanted to use the TouchID-Login. I enabled TouchID in the settingsmenue. Now everytime I quit Enpass and reopen it - the setting is desabled and Touc ID can't be used für the Login (starting Enpass). It's forgetting the setting!

Any Ideas?

Nik

Hi @kopernikus

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Once the Touch ID is enabled, the Enpass app asks for the Master Password only when the app is freshly started. To avoid this, once the app is opened please keep it running in the Menu bar (instead of quitting it) and it will ask for the Touch ID until the app or system is restarted.

You can enable it via Enpass settings > General > Run > Enable the Show Enpass in Menu bar.

Hope this helps!

I have the same problem with my PC desktop. I also tried to keep Enpass running in the Menu bar, but the  quick release using Windows Hello setting doesn't keep active

Hi @pant85

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Our dev team is already working on this issue and a fix will be available soon.

Thanks for co-operation!

Hi Enpass-Team,

the problem seems to be back in version 6.3.2 on macOS.

TouchID is enabled in the settings but this setting is not saved. You can lock and unlock the database without closing the window exactly once. On the second try, the TouchID setting is lost and TouchID is not displayed for unlocking anymore. It's also the same when closing the window and/or closing the program completely.

Best Regards

Dom

Enpass is always asking me for my password on my Mac. I keep setting the Touch ID switch but it always reverts back and doesn't maintain the setting. This is on a 16" MacBook pro on Catalina with version 6.3.2

Same here on my MacBook Pro on Catalina with Enpass 6.3.2

Same here, Enpass 6.3.2 (582)

I'm having the same problem with 6.3.2 on my Max running MacOS 10.15.2. Quite annoying since I have a long password and using Enpass a lot each.

Yes same here - please fix this asap - it is driving me mad. I have a non-trivial long master password and typing it in all the time is incredibly frustrating.

Hey all,

Inconvenience is regretted. We've already reproduced and found the bug for the "Touch ID" issue. A fix is under way and will be available in the next update. We hope to release the fix soon.

Thanks.
