Cloud Sync

Hello, I use Dropbox to store my Enpass vault. I would feel more comfortable if I can secure my Dropbox account with 2FA. However, will that break my syncing? I have searched the FAQ and this forum but I cannot find the answer. Thanks.

Sorry but I'm done with your crappy software. I'm a developer myself and I know releasing a bug free software is impossible, but your update from 5 to 6 was just BS. You killed the sync functionality and the db conversion from 5 to 6 also wasn't bug free. OK bad thinks might happen... but all these problems were reported months ago and still there are no fixes. Even worse now sync is broken on all platforms! In my case (WebDAV) sync is broken because of a character conversion failure. So if minor bugs like these take you months to fix, how long would a security critical bug like a failure in your vault.db design take to fix? So I'm done with Enpa…

With 1Password I use to have dropbox maintain a local copy. I would have my vault connect to the local drop box folder (which synced to the cloud) which would therefor be synced across all my device with dropbox and a local copy of the folder. Will Enpass also function this way, or must I provide direct access to the cloud account.

I've run into the following issue with Enpass v5.5.6 on macOS 10.12.5: Dropbox sync is enabled and is working fine. I leave the office, where I was connected to the Wifi network. I close my MacBook and get on the train. On the train, I work on the MacBook, but not connected to a Wifi network. Before I exit the train, I close the MacBook again. At home, I open the MacBook and it connects to my home Wifi network. When I now make a change in Enpass, the Synchronize icon starts spinning and sync never finishes The only fix for this is to quite Enpass and start it again. Can you please verify whether this is a known issue, or a new bug?

Dropbox Sync is not working since beginning of december for android. Reinstalling and forcing sync does not work either. I suspect this is a bug?

After Update to MacOS 11.2 the dropbox-sync doesn't work. I have disconnect the sync and tried to connect again then everytime the message: "Could not verify your credintials. Please log in again to sync your data." Restart, dropbox-logout, nothing helped.

All Apple devices use iCloud sync. In order to add the windows desktop to this, a sync link should be added. Between the desktop and one of the Apple devices, possibly iPhone. I was really happy when I got Enpass 6 a few hours ago, but right now I'm having quite a few problems with it. I started using several vaults, because I wanted to share different logins with different people. The problem is, that I can't sync them with one dropbox account and therefore can't use it on my phone anymore. I don't like how syncing vaults is handled in general so here is a suggestion that would make them a lot easier to use: Enpass could use a config file, that is secured with the master password. Hello! Since the Update to Enpass 6 i can't sync with icloud (or dropbox or other clouds alike). All my devices are updated to Enpass 6 (iPhone, iPad, Mac und Windows - all newes version), but it doesn't sync. In Enpass i have to type the password from icloud (or dropbox alike). I type it correctly, but enpass tells me, that the password is wrong. Please help!

Due to the new mobile version of Enpass 6 on 31.12.18 you could at least open the program on the iPhone without breaking the app. But if you want to save a backup from a WebDAV server back with this version, after you deleted the data on the phone, no backup from the cloud will be recognized !!!! The path is recognized by the app but you get the message that no data has been found in the directory! If you download the backup from the WebDAV server to the PC and download it via iTunes to the iPhone, you cannot import the backup via the local data because the PW is not recognized !!!!! A similar error has already been reported (here), but this is a defferent problem. Tested on Android 8.0. After selecting OneDrive from the "Sync With" drop down menu, Enpass briefly shows an "Authenticating" pop-up, Firefox is automatically opened and directed the the Microsoft website, and then Enpass shows this error message: The sync with OneDrive was canceled by the user. I can only click "OK". The "Sync With" drop down is reverted to "None". This worked fine in 5.x FYI: My device is rooted and the default browser is Firefox. Chrome is not installed on my device.

Enpass and Dropbox interaction on iOS11 Beta Has anyone had an issue with all entries disappearing from Enpass on the iOS11 beta? If I disconnect Dropbox and reconnect, they all resync correctly, but you must disconnect Dropbox. Just hitting the sync button does nothing. Edit: It seems I am missing some entries. They are still there on the Mac OS app, but not on iOS. Also, this doesn't appear to be a dropbox specific issue. I switched to a WebDAV server and got the same results: missing entries.

Hi there, I'm behind a corporative proxy and I can't sync my database to Google Drive or Dropbox. I can authenticate to these services all right but Enpass for desktop (linux) just keeps syncing forever. I guess it's not using my system-wide proxy settings and I can't find netwok settings inside the app. Is there a way I can solve it?

I've been using Enpass for a few years now and am getting more and more frustrated by the fact that there always seems to be a another problem with the macOS version. If one problem is fixed, which easily take half a year, then another one pops up. For example, I managed to fix the 'Enpass Assistant is unable to connect with the Enpass app' error by de-installing the Enpass app and re-installing it from the App Store. However, since a month or so, Enpass wants me to re-authenticate my macOS iCloud session every day. I've been using Enpass for several years across multiple devices (mac, iphone, WIN10 pro) - no issues so far. Image my surprise when my WIN10 Enpass session with iCloud expired today, requiring me to reauthenticate using my Apple-ID only to receive a warning from Microsoft Edge that the site cdn.apple-cloudkit.com was being used for phishing ... Hi there I have Enpass installed on my Macbook and iPhone, but it won't sync to Dropbox on my Macbook. I can confirm this because I added a new password on my Macbook and it's not showing in my iPhone, even when I "sync now" from the overall application or the specific settings for Dropbox. Hi Since a week or so Enpass is loosing contact to iCloud Drive and I have to reauthenticate it all the time. I believe it is since the suppl. update for 10.15.4. Does anybody have a solution? Guido

Enpass works fine on home PC and auto-synchs to OneDrive. When I install Enpass on my other PC at another location which has the same OneDrive account which contains the synched data file, it doesn't recognize that data file, and won't unlock. What am I missing? Thanks for your help!

Couple Month ago i bought a License and imported all Data from Keepass. Because of missing feature i was using Keepass again. Now... giving Enpass one more try all my Data: - are Lost - i do not get recon as an excisting User anymore tbh, Usability is definitely different. I am done with that shit.... Never used a Password Manager like that before.. Worst Case ever.

I actually emailed an inquiry to support - before I decided to purchase Enpass for macOS. Version 6.8.4. (from their web site). But with the MacHeist price I decided to purchase and test. I have just started to sync my Documents folder with OneCloud. It always stalls with two files remaining open: enpasssettings.db and syncmeta.db. These files remain locked even when Enpass is not running on the desktop. I have to use TaskManager to shut Enpass down. Then the files sync OK. I remember something like this in 2018 when the same issue prevented an Enpass update. Please fix this issue - it is an irritation every time I use Enpass and I'm sure you don't want that. The app should not continue to run in Task Manager even after I have closed it on the desktop. Thanks

I had a very strange problem happen today. I noticed that Enpass was no longer syncing with OneDrive. When I told it to sync, it seemed to connect to OneDrive OK, but then said the (master) password on the file was incorrect. This was a bit strange because I had not changed the password on the file. I checked the Enpass client on several PCs plus my mobile device and they all had the same issue. However the local copies of Enpass still allowed me to get in with the same master password that I have always used and that should have been on the file up on OneDrive.
