  1. Hi, I have been using EnPass with TouchID for some years now everything worked well until today. Multiple things are wrong: Since this morning, I am not able to activate TouchID anymore and all the security options don't work anymore. Also, PIN configurations are not saved by the app as well as the time-based logout settings. Now EnPass always locks directly after leaving the app. Today, EnPass suggested that I should register an account because I am eligible to use EnPass Pro for free. When I do that, the registration somehow succeeds, but my E-Mail is not shown (Email field is empty) in the "registration was successful" screen. After going through the registration process, the app still suggests, that I register and says I'm not registered but shows, that the Pro account somehow is activated. When I want to enable TouchID, the button instantly deactivates the function. So it is not possible to turn it on at all. This is really frustrating, I now have to enter the Master Password every time I want to use the app!! Here are my software versions: Enpass Version: 6.4.4 (462) iOS Version: 13.4.1 (iPhone 7) What I have tried so far: Resetting all TouchID settings and re-activating them (although I think that this is not the root cause because all the other security settings don't work as well) Deinstall EnPass completely and reinstall the app + new synchronization set up
  2. when I start Enpass and turn TouchID on. For first login it will allow me to use TouchID but then it deactivate itself and when enpass is locked again I have to repeate masterpassword. Could you please fix this issue? Enpass Beta 6.3.2 (599) MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 thanks
  3. Hi, I am an avid user of Enpass. The app is great. I use it on my phones, on my Linux machine, on my windows machine, on my mac books. I have accumulated many hundreds of items in Enpass. I paid for premium version just so that I can use touch id to unlock Enpass on my macbook. But I have hard time figuring out how to use touch id. I have already enabled Quick Unlock -> Touch Id check box (See attached image). But neither the main app nor the browser extension ask for touch ID. Master password is the only thing they ask for. I tested by enabling touch id checkbox, then go to main window, lock enpass by clicking the lock icon on top right. I also tested by letting enpass lock itself due to timeout. No luck. Pay for premium and then only use master password everywhere Just to test I tried using the pin option, which works great. I was able to enter pin to unlock enpass. My question is how to make the app ask for touch id? Using Enpass 6.1.3 (420) on MacOS 10.14.6 on MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2019. Thanks, Vij
  4. Hi, My feature request is about the TouchBar identification on news Macbook Pros. Here is my workflow to get identified once I started Enpass: I have to click on the fingerprint icon on the TouchBar (image 1) Enpass asks me to put my finger on the TouchId captor (image 2) Another way to proceed is to click on the fingerprint icon on Enpass' window and then put the finger on the TouchId captor (image3). My question is: wouldn't it be possible (at least I wish it was) add for my fingerprint as soon as Enpass is started or brought to the front such as on the image 2? Thanks for your reply. PS: I saw this similar post: quicker access to TouchID, but I don't know if it concerns the MacBook Pro or iOS devices. Image 1 Image 2 Image 3
  5. The introduction of Quick Unlock by TouchID is a huge step forward for the usability of Enpass. However, in my opinion the promised perfect balance between convenience and security is still unmet due to the lack of a critical part: TouchID timeout. TouchID is not 100% secure as demontrated by security researchers who were e. g. able to replicate working fingerprints for TouchID. The logical consequence would be to disable TouchID in Enpass completely. However, this would not only eliminate the convenience benefit but also increase the risk of shoulder surfing. The solution is an adjustable timeout deciding whether TouchID will unlock Enpass or if the master password is required. In my current password manager*, I set it to one hour which is the perfect security/convenience tradeoff in my use cases. Patrick * TouchID timeout ist the missing feature that kept me fromswitching to Enpass.
  6. Will there be any update regarding the new Touch Bar in Apple's MacBook Pro late 2016? Especially support for Touch ID would be appreciated!

    Touch-ID

hello, i have the following problem. i use the enpass pro verison with my iphone and touch id... it works great but i found a small "bug", which is very annoying... when i start the app, a dialog prompt with touch id, its works without problems, but when the iphone locks itself after a while, the touchid doenst work anymore. i need to type my password. i think the app try to prompt the touch id automatically and failed after locking.. so a better solution is to create a button to force touch id after unlocking.. thanks
