Increase file upload limit. Say 100MB or 1GB? Sky is the limit.

I would suppose you use a different service for that feature, as a password manager is not for storing large data.

I'm speechless did you even think on it a little before answering. 1Pass, Bitwarden many other major players give atleast 100MB per file size limit. Anyone else commenting please don't do baseless comments, think and answer.

I 100% agree with this request i thumbs up on it!! and vote for it!!!

I hope enpass you will act on this request and considering to increase limitation upload as ridiculous 5MB (double side floppy disk in 1980!)  for something like 25-50-100 MB, same as other option 1pass, bitwarden,...

I don't agree this comment!

It's not only password manager, in my sens it's a secure vault , vault that you can put anything in it... you can store other things then password, like note, id, credit card, so much more things then only user/pwd (root/changeme)... enpass apps it's self have ability to store many things other then only password... so why limit upload file size...

You can store proof of purchase software license, PDF proof, sshkeys, and is serial number, registration information and so on... other pwd lock like as keepass files as kdbx that can be big...

Simple example of crazy limitations of 5MB only in this forum form we can submit upload files as big as 19MB and Im not 100% sure be I think for each comment we send max 19mb, so if it's true I can write down many messages I want with each one with 20mb , for after that total of 1Petabyte if we want..

Remember that enpass to not store the vault on is server , you store it locally or any cloud you want so why the make limitation of upload size files..  in case of bitwarden limit is 100mb but also it's store on there server and if you want more space you can pay for it... I agree with that but increase limit of upload and no reason don't do it with enpass cause storage of any size is not on there storage server...

While I understand the optionions of NicB and ARaceToTheGrave, I also totally understand, why this isn't available. As an admin I'd absolutely NOT want my users to store any larger files in Enpass. The attachment option is used by us for keyfiles, certificates and the such - all very small Text-files.

If there'd be such an option, it would definitely slow down the system and create additional load for transfers. So it should at least be switchable. If people want to store larger files, it's fine by me, but I don't want it for my environment.

File-sizes - as suggested - of 1GB are an absolute No-Go for any professional environments. People are supposed to store the files where they belong - and files of that size belong into OneDrive or SharePoint - these are made for such sizes.

So perhaps it would be a solution to add an option to set a limit for file-sizes to 5, 10 and 100MB or something.
