I tried to save a passkey to Enpass from Chase in Firefox. When I attempt to save the passkey, I get

"It looks like something went wrong. Try adding a passkey again."

    So far, I have:

    1. Tried this on a different brower like Brave with enpass extension. The same thing happened.

    2. Tried this on a different password manager, in this case Bitwarden and the passkey was saved in firefox and Brave.

In either case, the extension was configure to save passkeys.

Tried on MacOS, Linux, and Windows.

  2. I recently tried to install enpass from the flathub and found a problem where the extension cannot connect to the enpass installed. I tried playing around with Flatseal but can't figure out what the issue is. I did eventually install it using the instructions provided by Enpass, but the instructions is outdated and I have to modify the instructions to use the new DEB822 format.

  3. Here's what I use for the enpass.sources in /etc/apt/sources.list.d. I am assuming that you create the key in /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/enpass.asc

    Types: deb
    URIs: https://apt.enpass.io/
    Suites: stable
    Components: main
    Architectures: amd64
    Signed-By: /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/enpass.asc

Afterward, you can do a sudo apt update and then sudo apt install enpass.

If the enpass team can test it out and update their instructions.

  4. Recently, whenever I click on the autofill icon, the android app immediately crashes the android app.. This happens 100% of the time. The following are the info.

    • Machine: Lenovo IP Flex 5 Chrome 13ITL6 (intel i3)
    • ChromeOS version 1140.0.7339.229
    • Chrome Enpass extension 6.11.8
    • Android Enpass 6.11.15.1190

    Hi,

There is a very annoying problem in Firefox with typing comments on YouTube and Reddit when the Enpass extension is enabled. Typing text into comment fields is extremely delayed and the CPU load increases. When I disable the “pop-up menu for automatic filling” in the Enpass extension settings, the issue disappears.

    Firefox version: 141.0 (64-bit)
    Enpass Firefox Extension: 6.11.5.2
    Enpass Windows: 6.11.13 (2033)
    OS: WIN11 24H2 / 26100.4349
    CPU: Ryzen 9 7900
    RAM: 64GB @ 4800 MT/s

    Thanks for the workaround.

  6. I am noticing an issue whenever I use Firefox with the Enpass extension. Whenever the extension is enable, there is a small lag of less than a second when typing.  The lag is highly noticable because I type pretty fast and the bug slows my typing rate to a crawl. If I disable enpass extension even for a brief moment, the issue goes away for a while but always return. The issue has affected Firefox on Mac OS, Windows 11, and Linux. The Mac and Windows are on relatively speedy machines (Mac is a M1), so should not be a cpu issue.

On windows 11, the version is:

    Enpass desktop: 6.11.12 (1994)
    Firefox Extension: 6.11.5.1
    Firefox version: 140.0.4
    Windows 11: 26100.4652

  7. I have enpass on the same computer split across multiple accounts.I am using the Window 11 Store version so should full time windows hello. Indeed, I have notice that it works with one account. When I log out and log back I am not prompted for the master password.

However, when I setup the same enpass on a different windows account on the same machine, it does not work. Can enpass only store 1 entry per computer?

  8. I am reporting that the latest extension 6.11.0 fixed the issue on Chrome on ChromeOS, and firefox on MacOS and Linux. What change is when you click on continue to the 2FA prompt, you get a prompt to press the hardware key button. Previously, the popup never appear and you get stuck. I like to thank the enpass team in fixing this issue. I will report this to the firefox forum.

  9. Update, I replicated this issue under ChromeOS and Chrome browser. Just to make sure the problem is understood. When you log into icloud, a prompt for the hardware key appears and then you press the hardware key to login. When enpass browser extension is enable, the iCloud popup for hardware key will not appear and you won't be able to login. If you disable the enpass extension, the issue goes away. The browser extension appears to prevent the hardware key popup.

  10. To replicate, you must have an icloud account that uses hardware key as 2FA. The following is the expected behavior

    1. Open browser and go to https://icloud.com.
    2. Log into your Apple account.
    3. The site will prompt you to press the button on the hardware key and also prompt you for the hardware key's PIN.
    4. User enter the PIN and the browser logs you into the apple account.

However, if the enpass extension is installed, step 3 does not prompt for the pin and there is a spinning progress circle that never goes away. It is definitely the enpass extension, since removing it allows it to work. The following are the configuration

Platform: Apple M1, MacOS Sonoma 14.5
    Enpass desktop version: 6.11.0
    Enpass Extension version: 6.9.4.1
