January 29, 20206 yr I am successfully running Enpass on my PC (Win10), my Android phone and my iPad. Now I did install it on my Laptop (Win10), too. But when I try to restore data from OneDrive Enpass does not accept my password. I assume it is my Master Password the program is asking for - and that is working fine on my other machines until now. Any suggestions or any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any support.
January 29, 20206 yr @Etbron, Make sure that you're using the same password with special attention to the letter-case and special characters. Also, are you trying to sync from the welcome screen or in Enpass after you've already created a new vault.
January 29, 20206 yr Author The password is definitively correct. I did not create a new vault on the laptop, I am trying to restore directly from the welcome screen.
January 30, 20206 yr @Etbron, Please try creating a new vault with the same master password and then try syncing the data into the new vault from the cloud. Let me know if this doesn't help.
January 30, 20206 yr Author @Tahreem, just tried it. Trying to activate synchronization did not work due to a "wrong password". I also clicked on the help button in Enpass while trying to activate sync. It showed a "last password change" date in 1970 and an empty machine name. Just as an idea, what happens if I change my master password on my main device (my PC) - will that also change / refresh the password for the data stored on Onedrive?
January 31, 20206 yr @Etbron, If you have all the data intact in one of your devices: You can simply disconnect the sync across all your devices. Once done, please delete the synced files in the cloud service you are using. Now setup the sync once again on the device where all your data is and try to connect the same cloud service to the new device in which you were having an issue. Please let me know if this doesn't help.
January 31, 20206 yr Author @Tahreem, thanks a lot, this did solve the problem. While trying to delete the synced files on Onedrive I found two sets of files, one at Files/Apps/Enpass, the other one at Files/Enpass. No idea where the files came from, but maybe this caused the issue.
February 3, 20206 yr Hi @Etbron, We are glad to know that the problem with sync has been resolved. Since Enpass 6 and Enpass 5 are based on a different directory architecture, so the location for the sync data is also saved in different locations on OneDrive. Thanks!
February 25, 20206 yr @tahreem, I am having the same problem, and tried what you suggested (disconnecting all devices and deleting the synced files in OneDrive), but with no success. The new Windows 10 app I installed won't connect. It still says "Incorrect Password"
February 25, 20206 yr Hi @Lloyd, Sorry for the trouble you are going through. Please share the following details so that we can investigate where the problem could be. On which devices and OS versions (mention all) are you using Enpass? Which Enpass version are you using on each device? Thanks!
February 25, 20206 yr Same problem here my Enpass is on a pen drive I use on MacBook ie "incorrect password"
