BUG: Enpass auto-fill fails every time at personalsavings.americanexpress.com

Featured Replies

Using Enpass to enter credentials at personalsavings.americanexpress.com fails every time.

But if I copy-paste the password from Enpass into the password field, it works just fine.

Tested in Brave, Chrome, Firefox, Safari from Enpass Beta 6.7.4 (951) on macOS 11.6.1.

Hi @100 Watt Walrus

For quick troubleshooting purposes, please try the below steps and let me know if they help -

  1. Remove the item you have saved in your Enpass app for the web page on which you face this issue.
  2. Then, enter your credentials on the login page of these same website. Upon entering your details, you will see the option 'Add to Enpass' (please refer to the attached image). Click it, and the information will be saved to Enpass.

  3. Try autofilling again on the same web page , and let me know if it works for you.

Hi @Abhishek Dewan,

Unfortunately, I can't test this for you as we closed that account. But I will say that the reason I don't use "Add to Enpass" is because I can't then choose the template — let alone one of my custom templates — that gets used when the item is created.

Cheers!

Hi @100 Watt Walrus

Thanks for the update.

For troubleshooting purposes, I wanted you to add the password again to the Enpass app. If you encounter a similar issue on this particular webpage again, please update this forum, and I'll be more than happy to investigate it!
