"Notes" field is tiny on desktop screen - expand it to fill the gap

Featured Replies

The Notes field is really small and has lots of space around it that it could "expand" to. If it can't be automatically expanded to fill the space, can you make the textbox frame resizeable so the user can resize it?

I often have 20-30 lines of info in the Notes, and it's SO difficult to read data in such a small area!

Please consider this request in a future edition.

Thanks for sharing your feedback.

The Notes field size is currently designed this way to maintain a consistent layout across different screen sizes. That said, we understand how expanding the Notes section to better utilize available space could improve usability.

I’ve shared your suggestion with our product team for consideration in future updates. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

Yes please! I can understand if the field cannot be extended out to the left - as per my screenshot, but surely the height can be set to automatically expand to the height of the window - that's a basic feature in most windows deskop applications.

Thanks

I’ve added your specific suggestion (auto‑expanding the height of the Notes field to match the window) to our existing internal ticket so the product team has this clear use case in front of them.

We can’t promise an exact timeline, but your feedback is definitely on our radar and will be considered as we work on improving the item detail layout.

Appreciate you taking the time to share these details with us!

Thank you, Amandeep. I'm sure I'm not the only one that stores a lot of data in the Notes field and would appreciate an expanded window.

Many thanks
Gary
