  1. How do you sync your mobile device(s) with your desktop/laptop without relying on a public cloud service? You could run an OwnCloud or WebDav server privately but it's rather heavy to set up. I have used eWallet for many years and it has a rather elegant solution to this problem: the desktop client can act as a sync server on the LAN. A trust relationship must first be established with the mobile device(s) and presto you have fully private syncing without the need to install any additional software. It sort of works the opposite way of the "local WiFi" option that's offered when you first install Enpass on an iOS device and offers true syncing as opposed to just b…

  2. Hi there, I love the new auto backup feature. It would be nice if there could be some customization around it to keep the backup folder clean and under control. For instance, I don't know when it does a backup, but it seems to do a couple a day - often early each morning once I start my computer but not always - the times are seemingly random. If you could do a backup on an event of the users choosing such as with the startup of Enpass or when it closes. And if you could also set it to do a max number of backups per day in case you are opening and closing the program multiple times. Maybe being able to choose between keeping all the backup files and to …

Requesting a settings toggle 'Start minimized to tray icon'. When enabled, the Enpass application will not display a window when launched, but will silently add itself to the tray icon area.

Hi, I've been using enpass for a while now but I haven't been too active in the community, as I guess I'm a lazy user who expects the features he wants to just rain from above some day. As I realized that was probably not going to happen, I thought I would come here and post a list of the features that would make using enpass a much better experience for me. Don't ask for the master password again until I tell it to; even through reboots. Security compromise, I know, but no one else even has access to my computer, and I can't stand typing my very long password over and over again. LastPass (the browser extension) could do this. Option to make auto-login truly …

  7. On the Traditional Desktop client, one can easily duplicate existing entries. Sadly this feature is missing on Android and the UWP version; I presume it may also be true for iOS and Windows Phone. From my perspective, it would be super handy to be able to duplicate entries on a mobile device and get that feature on the UWP version too.

  8. Note This only makes sense if Enpass is setup to sync. If Enpass is setup to sync, I'm thinking it would make sense to: Backup locally to a default location that can be changed by the user & offer the option to move existing backups if the directory changes. Backup remotely based on the Sync settings - no user control here Furthermore, when setting up Enpass if a user selects the option to restore data: Enpass would check the sync location for the restore data and if data is found, ask if they want to restore data If they choose yes, allow them to choose which data point to restore (e.g.: Tuesday 12/27, Sunday 12/25 etc.)

  9. When setting up Enpass on a new machine, you have the option to restore data from a particular source. I happen to use WebDAV/ownCloud over all the other services. However, when reviewing the Enpass settings after the fact, WebDAV/ownCloud Sync isn't setup requiring one to go through the sync process again. It would be nice if, during the restore process for WebDAV/ownCloud, you offered an option to restore data and setup sync at the same time; possibly via a checkbox defaulted to 'yes'.

I realized how handy it was to have the ability to export in CSV format since I used this with LastPass and Enpass accepted the data almost perfectly. One issue: Enpass doesn't support the same CSV format when exporting, only TXT, so I request the CSV export as an enhancement request. It would be annoying to have to write a parser if I ever needed to move my data again. Thanks in advance.

Hi I use keepass for a while but the UI is not so great for 2016 software so I take a look on Enpass and it seems great. But I miss some usefull things like : Online / Self-hosted webapp : when you're on public computer and without your phone, it can be very usefull to use a webapp that everyone self host to open the database. Maybe on read-only to avoïd sync problem. Ok you're going to give a portable version but I don't go every where with an usb stick. With Keepass, we can self-host Keeweb and access to our database litteraly anywhere without portable / usb. When you enter master password, it can be usefull to have an icon to see password in plain…

sync being a canadian company is FAR (well at least from a standpoint of law) away from all those US Cloud Services which have fairly annoying laws regarding surveillance and stuff, it would be really great to add it to the list.

I am migrating from my previous passwordmanager to enpass. I am very pleased with the program and the easy sync between Windows and IOS using Dropbox. My old passwordmanager, Windows only, had however a good feature. You can select to copy both password and username to the clipboard. The first paste on the login site is the password and the next paste is the username. I would really like an extra option "Copy username and pasword" when I right click an item. I hope I have made myself clear.

one of the best things newer windows versions (iirc vista and above) have is the secure desktop, where an application (usually the UAC dialog) can go into its own secure environment where nothing that doesnt have admin rights (especially your average keylogger) can spy in to see any passwords typed in, or interact with it in any way. one feature I really would love would be allowing DB unlock on the secure desktop

As an alternative to the master password hardware tokens (YubiKey, smart card) should be supported. Some YubiKeys (e.g. Neo) support not only U2F or OTP but can also store PGP and X.509 certificates (and private keys). This could be used to decrypt the password store and if the token is removed the vault gets locked but one can still use the master password. Compared to 2FA this works perfectly well with the offline concept of Enpass. And it would also support those who yearn for a short PIN alternative (like myself) w/o compromizing security.

  23. 1. [desktop] ctrl+f not only puts focus on the search field, but highlights any text currently in it entirely problem: when searching for an entry with ctrl+f and then coming back later and hitting ctrl+f to search for another entry, you have to manually backspace to remove the previous search entry. solution: instead, on ctrl+f, instead of just focusing on the search field, you could highlight the previous entry entirely, such that you can start typing a new entry. 2. [desktop] upon copying any field in an entry, minimize enpass.io problem: when clicking the icon to copy a field in an entry, you have to minimize to get to the app you need to pa…

It would be nice to have a PIN on the Desktop version, and the Desktop browser extensions (for me Safari and Chrome)... Currently there is no shorter option than to type the master password, every time over and over again. I do this at least 10 to 20 times a day... Workflow might be define a PIN. When PIN is entered wrong 3 times, you have to type the master password.

A recycle bin feature would be nice. A deleted object should be moved there and not be used for auto fill anymore.
